For the price this place was meh. My friend and I both tried the duck. It was supposed to have a reduction sauce on it, really just tasted like it was seasoned with salt and put in a pan. We also got the side of macaroni and, hate to say it but box macaroni is better. The brie appetizer was good, very small portion for what it is though. Also, got the lobster bisque, there was maybe some small crumbles of lobster but I couldn’t tell in it. Looked way better than it tasted. Maybe we just tried the wrong foods?

We went there last night the atmosphere is very cool, my waiter Levi took exceptionally good care of us. I highly recommend him. My wife and I got the best table in the house, true vip treatment for our first visit. The meal was fantastic 8/10 would go again.

We enjoyed the food very much. We ordered Tempura shrimp for the starter which was great. We also ordered Duck confit which was delicious and juicy enough served with crispy potato.

Have been here several times… never disappoints, if it’s a weekday, weekend, from server to different server it’s always superb! Incredible food dishes, great service, and of course a lovely atmosphere.

A group of us went here for dinner and we all agreed it was one of the best meals we’ve had. The waiter was extraordinary knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions, the drinks were delicious, and the food was cooked perfectly. Couldn’t recommend this place more if you’re looking for a more upscale dinner!

Had to eat in the bar. Mold on the air vent, stained ceiling tiles, hole in the wall stuffed with a rag. Server never checked with us about food, which was lackluster – some good, some improperly cooked. Never had a bad meal there before, but this was very disappointing.

This was my first visit to Cole’s. The decor looks like it jumped straight out of a Southern Living magazine spread. The food was delicious, though the menu seemed a little limited. I had the Beef Shoulder Tender and my husband ordered the Pork Chop. Both were fabulous.

Celebrated our anniversary here, and it was a phenomenal culinary experience. We ordered the brussels sprout salad to start and the Duck Confit and steak special, and each dish was incredibly. All of the flavors were perfectly balanced. I am not usually a duck person, but this was so tender and well seasoned, I could not get enough!

I was so looking forward to dinner at Coles… we were traveling through Lexington and had done a lot of research on best restaurants in Lex and picked this one. I know times have been tough on restaurants lately but so many things went wrong. After we were seated a server came right over with water and introduced himself. Good start. Then a few minutes later he came back to say he wasn’t our server but our server, Kyle, would be right over. Several minutes later Kyle finally made it over and said he would be our server and took a drink order. My drink was brought fairly quickly by a different server. But my husband’s did not arrive. Kyle brought glasses and limes for my husband’s San Pellegrino but not the beverage. We asked two more time before he did. It took 25 minutes from when we were seated before the rest of our order was taken. We also ordered an appetizer which was very good. The Brussel sprout salad was delicious. The lobster bisque was a tasty and creamy soup but the lobster was nonexistent. It took two hours for us to be served the appetizer, soup and salad. There seemed to be plenty of people helping out the servers but even the food runners seemed a bit lost and several times came out with food that they weren’t sure where to deliver. A table of four seated after us was served dinner before us. We had ordered the filet special which we were told came with plenty of mushrooms and red skin potatoes so we shouldn’t order any extra sides. We were also told not to order the steak rare with a warm center because medium or medium well was the only way to get a warm center. We ordered them medium rare but they came a bit overcooked, with about 1 sliced mushroom and one slice potato under each steak. The steaks were extremely tender and well seasoned… too bad they were over done. By this time it was another 20 minutes until dinner arrived and we were starving so did not send the steaks back. Finally, instead of a sincere apology for the delays and mix ups… we got a bit of snarkiness from our server… poor read of the table. For the cost of dinner, over $200…I expected more.

Family dining on the front patio – just delightful . The grilled Caesar’s Salad was wonderful. We enjoyed a nice Pinot Noir. My entree was chicken with Gnocchi and I loved that as well. A little pricey but the food. wine and service were worth it. I recommend for any special occasion.
