The food was great, the worker left much to desire. Tenderloin, fries and cheese balls were delicious and finished off the trip with a peanut butter panic cyclone ( ice cream). Also delicious. The employee was less than enthusiastic to be there.

Tenderloin, fries, cheese curds, and peanut butter panic were all very good!

First visit to Coles Famous Tenderloin, tenderloin was probably the best Ive had, tender, juicy and massive! Nothing like shoe soles that you get at a lot of places. Poppers were very good too. Place was very dirty though, and the guy behind the counter was having issues, if you visit I hope you have a good experience…

Best pork tenderloin I ever had. Great fries as well. Friendly owner. I will for sure be heading back for more. Owner said he would be there till the end of September.

Tenderloin appears to be hand pounded and breaded. It wasnt bad, but definitely wasn’t the best. There didnt seem to be any seasoning on the tenderloin so it was somewhat flavorless. Fries seemed like they were soaked in oil before frying. Grease logged. No menu, no prices, other than the ice cream prices for the cyclones. Couldnt find a menu online, so no idea what you can actually order. When trying to give my order, the woman kept stopping to hand out ice cream.. which was slightly annoying. All in all, happy to suppet local, but all 4 of us are more than okay with never eating there again. But for being in a small town, its not bad.

Ask for the super tenderloin. It’s his famous tenderloin (which I would argue is the best tenderloin I’ve ever eaten). Topped with 6 slabs of brisket, 4 pickles, BBQ sauce which was sweet yet subtle, topped with a hefty handful of stringy fried onion rings. Easily the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten. It comes with a basket of fries, which were also very good.

Coles is historic in many ways! A long-time staple of the Slater crossroads, Coles makes visual and culinary history with its amazing tenderloin, burgers, and ice cream. Add military and family history and one gets a perfect slice of pure Americana. DELICIOUS!!!

A little hole in the wall restaurant. Doesn’t look very appealing on the outside but the food speaks for itself. Now it would be a 5 star if it wasn’t so expensive or oily. We got chicken sandwiches and fries. The chicken was a bit oily. Maybe if it sat a little longer it would have been perfect. The fries were great. The worst part about this place was the price. I was thinking it would be on the cheaper end for how the place looked but I was mistaken. I have to say though I will stop again because it was good food overall.

I wish I could give Cole’s six stars! Their tenderloins are the best I’ve ever had. He pounds, batters and fries them fresh to order. They also have some killer chili!!

When I first ordered from Cole’s the chef declared confidently “Get ready for the best chili cheese fries you’ve ever had.” I was really skeptical because I’ve tried chili fries from many different places. On my first bite I realized he was absolutely right in his confidence. I make sure to go here any time I’m in Slater
