Was a good wait we stayed for our fish for about 15min but it was good and fresh, the people there was very nice and the food smelled amazing. I am glad I went here with my sis and 2 nephews they loved it as well, THX AGAIN LADIES! The service also was so homely thank you!

Born and raised in South Jackson Mississippi, you used to go to Collins Kitchen when I was young and the food was great. Moved out of Mississippi in 2012 and move to Tx whenever I come visited my mama I always get me some Collins, and E&L and the food taste different all the time. The soul was missing out of the food for me. The price and portions don’t match up. I got a veggie plate 13 dollars, and my plate was full. An was charged a 1.35 cents for a roll instead of a corn bread. Wasn’t made aware that that’s an up charge corn bread comes with the meal wow

Loved it! Great place for traditional soul food including the environmental vibe!! I had the smothered pork chop and asked them to throw in a pig feet! I added black-eyed peas and dressing for the sides and ate my way into a new heaven!!! Loved every single morsel and tried to eat the styrofoam plate but they said that wouldn’t be right. The sweet tea was great as well!!

$50 for 2 orders of Catfish with 2 sides (Cornbread Dressing & Mac & Chrese) and 4 can Cokes. The fish was cooked to order and the food was edible, no wow factor.

I had the worst experience and this like my second time coming. The service was very much unprofessional we asked for some crust with the peach cobbler and they had a attitude and refused. The macaroni was dry and hard as if it had been sitting for hours. Each plate was $16 a piece I feel as if we are not satisfied then we should be able to get a refund. We didn’t even leave the inside we immediately asked for a refund and could not get one. I just feel that’s not right if we didn’t touch the food, we really just touched the bag to the food.

The is my first and last time ever patronizing this place!!! The food was horrible to me. The Mac and cheese was definitely not home made and had to add salt/pepper to give it a taste!!! The Ribs were so Tough and had so much fat on them and they seem to have been boiled!!! I always try to support Black business but I should of followed my first mind when I pulled up to it!!!

Great food. Really enjoyed the music while we dined. Cornbread is really good and I’m not really a big fan of cornbread so that’s saying a lot! I got the meatloaf, greens, green beans, and squash. My wife got red beans and rice, mac and cheese and lima beans, and she enjoyed her meal as well. Will definitely return! Dining room needs a little work but I came for the food and I was not disappointed. Thank you!

I ordered the red beans and rice plate with greens and yams my opinion about the red beans is that they were not cooked all the way and my gravy was very watery. I was very disappointed that this is supposed to be a home-cooked soul food joint I definitely disagree!! The greens taste like Faded Glory greens out of the can the yams were okay. In my opinion it’s hard to know when you’re going to come in and get a really really good meal or not they have really went down over the years they really need to get a new Chef in the kitchen
