This is located in a cafeteria style setup called Hall Pass at the Gateway Mall. We only ordered one item, the Ahi poke Tuna Nachos, and wow, these were amazing! Tons of tuna, fried wonton strips as the chips, and the spicy sauce–we needed to order 2 for our group!

My husband and I browsed our options at HallPass and decided we wanted to try something here.

I’ve eaten here several times before and enjoyed it, so this evening we decided to stop here before walking to a show at The Union. We ordered our usual (2 Connecticut rolls) and grabbed a seat at the bar. It was a relatively busy night and they looked understaffed, but after about 45 minutes with no order and no buzz on our pager, I walked over to ask whether maybe our order had gotten lost and was told that someone else must have walked off with our food. They made the rolls on the fly and we got them about 55 minutes after initially ordering. The food was good as always, but we ended up having to hoof it to catch our concert on time.

Everything tasted pretty good just a bit expensive. Lobster roll could have used a bit more meat, clam chowder was really good but bad idea for a night of drinking and the fried calamari could have gone without the extra sauce on top it tasted like every other breaded calamari. It was a busy night so it tasted fresh.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Food was delicious and had great presentation! It didn’t take long to get our food either. Also, a Lobster Reuben was very creative idea and I would come back just to eat that again. Garlic parm Tots were super garlicky, which is my preference!

Cod sandwich was wonderful, and the tots received the overall winningest flavor of the day. Poke nachos we’re stellar. The portion seems a little small but the spicy whatever sauce was worth the price.

I’ll echo other reviewers in saying this probably isn’t worth the money. We tried the Connecticut roll. Ours was delicious and I had no issue with the quality, though I’ll caveat that I have never had an authentic one from CT. Unfortunately, I just don’t feel that it was a fair amount of food for nearly $20.

Hall pass is cool, but I got food poisoning. Funny enough, we went again last night, and one of my friends decided to try this place and he got food poising too. Just be cautious.

The food is definitely good but the lady working the counter seemed super annoyed that we had the audacity to eat there today. Probably won’t go back. There are plenty of other places to eat that are good and don’t make you feel like you are inconveniencing them. Too bad really.
