We think our flan is the best we have ever tasted. One taste and we think you will agree. The recipe dates to 1935 when the Columbia opened Tampa’s first “Conditioned Air” dining room, the Don Quixote. Our grandmother and great-grandmother, Carmen Hernandez, helped the Columbia gain national fame with her great recipes, especially her flan. Spanish caramel egg custard, prepared the old-fashioned way, using only the best natural ingredients.

The original Key lime pie recipe was thought to have been created in Key West, the birthplace of our grandmother and great-grandmother, Carmen Piloto Hernandez in the late 19th century. When the family moved to Ybor City, they brought a prized Key lime tree to plant at their home, beginning a tradition of enjoying fresh Key lime pie at family gatherings. Today our pies start with a graham cracker crust, and our filling is made from pasteurized egg yolks, condensed milk and “Nellie & Joe’s” Key lime juice. That’s it! Key lime pie is the “Official Pie of the State of Florida.”
$10.00

Our version is made with white chocolate, La Segunda Central Bakery Cuban bread, Sunny Florida Dairy milk and Florida eggs. Topped with a rich Bacardi rum sauce. Enough to share.

Stopped in for a group dinner and we were not disappointed. The service was great, super friendly staff. I got the stuffed grouper special and it was good, I would definitely order it again. We ordered the key lime pie and the white chocolate bread pudding for dessert. If you like key lime pie you will love it. The bread pudding was great but please note it’s a huge serving and can easily be shared.

This is a very nice restaurant. I do not recommend bringing small children. My family of 7 each got something different and everything was SUPERB!! Our waitress was very friendly and helped us decide what to order as this was our first time there. Would definitely go back

Wow! We dined here for the first time last night and everything was wonderful. The pitcher of mojito was delightful (and tableside made!). Our tapas were delicious, and the 1905 salad (also tableside made) was so refreshing on such an hot day. Our entrees were also fantastic and very flavorful. Our server Steven was great and super attentive. Honestly, from beginning to end the dining experience was perfect. No complaints and highly recommend if you’re looking for Cuban / Spanish fare!

I had a delightful experience at this charming Spanish restaurant. The service was exceptional, with knowledgeable staff guiding me through the menu. The open atmosphere, adorned with windows all around, created a spacious and inviting ambiance. And the food? Absolutely phenomenal!

Went for the combo de Cuba, the flavor was okay. I took out a star only because the pork was a little too dry for my taste. The white chocolate pudding has to be shared, otherwise you’ find the white chocolate a little too sweet if the pudding saturated your sweet palette. Overall good value if you want a little taste of Cuban cuisine. Their salad I heard is a must have but I didn’t want to lose my appetite for the combo.

Don’t visit this place and not order their 1905 salad ITS A MUST!! Their rice and chicken is my fave, followed by their picadillo. There are other delicious plates these are MY go-to. The pitcher of sangria is always on my list and the outdoor seating for me is a vibe! I’m all about the vibes. Indoor is more boogie, I like the fresh air and not so stuffy vibe. Check it out!

What a unique restaurant, the atmosphere really transports you. The service and food are amazing. We ordered the Cubano and for my first time trying one this lives up to its expectation. The bread was fresh and the toppings were perfectly placed and tasted salty and satisfying. Highly recommend coming here!

We had the pleasure of dinning in for lunch yesterday. I want to take a moment and say how great the food and service were. We ordered the croquetas de pollo and empanadas de picadillo for our appetizers. It was one of the best we’ve had. We then ordered for our main meal the Ropa vieja and the Cuban sandwich. Both meals were delicious and fresh. The main reason I am leaving this review is to brag on our waiter Ricky. I’ve dinned out plenty of times and he by far is the best waiter we ever had. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and very polite and professional. Always making sure we had enough drinks in our cups and making sure we had everything and that the food met our expectations. We had order a big to go order and he brought it out all ready to go and even boxed up our leftovers. Ricky truly made our dinning experience great. You have a real gem. Thanks again for a great dinning experience. We will be back. God bless.

Excellent food with wonderful service at a modest price. Their 1905 Salad is simply the best you can find or fix yourself. All of their dishes are prepared to order and they are happy to customize your entree within reason.
