Atmosphere and service were great. Wanted to really love the ramen. Did not like it as much as others. Tonkatsu broth tasted off. It looked as if there was some sort of tomato product mixed in.

Whole in the wall, in the best way. Limited seating, good service, rich broth and specials to bring a variety to those who frequent. Had their jellied sake which was great and dined on their Shoyu. Portions we’re comparable to other shops in KC, eggs we’re marinated soft boiled, and the meat was excellent. Get there early because it’s a cozy place with limited seating.

The ramen was delicious, the tucked away location is delightful, and the staff was great! Seating is a bit limited, and if you’re outside make sure to bring bug spray so you don’t get mosquito bites.

I really like the bowl I got here. I ordered the kimchi and it was very flavorful and if your ordered the extra spice sauce it definitely woke the dish up. With that being said I really think this place is over priced. I was not able to ask if they make their own noodles but I’m not sure how they justify so much for their ramen. I believe my bowl cost around $16. From the ramen I’ve had in KC bang for the buck would go 1.Boru ($10 for the same size bowl during lunch and 16 for twice the size bowl at dinner) 2. Komatsu at $10 a bowl 3. Shio at $13-15 a bowl. In terms of flavor : 1. Shio (homemade noodles w/ real Japanese flour 2.Boru 3. Columbus Park 4. Komatsu. The atmosphere was cozy and outside seating was a plus. And they had a great selection of beer. I will be back to try something else her for sure but my wallet is not looking forward to it.

I found solace and comfort here on my 1st night in KC. It was easily the coldest night of my stay in November but the local IPA and hot ramen helped me survive. Kudos to the staff for going above and beyond in helping me to select local beers. Appreciated the free wifi as well. Cheers!

Ramen this good is hard to find. Not just the Ramen is amazing. Their house pickle side is a must. Then a spectacular beer selection! Oh and I can’t not mention the Kimchi! They could just sell that kimchi alone and I’d be happy. We have gone two times. We will end up going way more. Hopefully the mustard greens kimchi find its way on the menu

Very expensive, had several large pieces of bone and hard cartilage in my soup, a soda can is over $2 each. Ramen was not very tasty and eating inside is usually not an option as it is located in a 1 car garage space and has limited seating.

First time there. The pork broth reminded meet of my grandmother’s New Orleans cooking. I was stuffed and it was well worth it. I also recommend the kimchi.

Loud and hipster if I had two words to describe the atmosphere. Small inside with just two tables and maybe 10 seats at the bar. A few more tables and bar seating outside. The tonkotsu was great. Noodles were chewy and bouncy though not particularly alkaline. Broth was amazing. Chashu seemed fatty to me. Also can’t believe they charge two dollars for a soft boiled marinated egg.

Alright ramen shop in a decent, uncommon area for one to be in, so that’s good. The place is really small and seating is limited. The ramen, unfortunately isn’t really authentic. The noodles looked and tasted as if they weren’t cooked all the way and not in broth. There was many less vegetables and noodles in the bowl in comparison to other shops. The chicken bowl was unbearably salty, almost inedible. The kimchi is probably the best one of the selections, of which there isn’t that many. I’d recommend reexamining the menu and getting more feedback on the food.
