Best Authentic Vietnamese Restaurant for lunch! Spicy Wings with lime, sweet, spicy, sour and savory with a kick. The kitchen staff are super talented and pay attention to aromatics. Sandwiches are delicious. Pho Ga; Chicken Noodles Soup hit the spot for comfort food. Perfectly cooked noodles in broth. Best Vietnamese spot for lunch in the 5 boroughs. Popular space for the locals. You need a sweet wake up, get the Sweetened Ice Coffee. Great quality. Sooo Good!

The food is insanely good – wow. Get the beef broth and the fried pork rolls. Service is fast and responsive in this tiny restaurant. Decor is kind of like a dive, definitely not nice, which ends up feeling like you’re in on a secret fantastic place.

Delicious food, generous portions and excellent service! Our server, Chi was very accommodating, helpful and gracious. The entire staff was quite welcoming and made us feel like we were welcomed into their home. This was definitely a much needed surprise of a restaurant a true hidden gem in the Bronx! The pork belly was tender and very flavorful, the caramelized sauce was excellent with just the right amount of sweet to savory. The boiled egg was packed with flavor and the rice was cooked to a perfect sticky consistency. Enough cannot be said about the crispy spring rolls – they were a showstopper- the crispy wrapper was fried to perfection and complimented the jam packed center of delicious pork and scallions ginger and magic. The beef stew was hearty and generous with noodles and chunks of melt in your mouth beef, carrots and a beautiful tomato broth. The Pho soup was equally satisfying although the beef ball was not to my personal liking, the rest of the variety of meats were excellent. The broth was outstanding and had a clean flavor that was nothing short of amazing.

We ordered an original banh mi and a combination noodle bowl. Part of what makes Vietnamese food so amazing is fresh herbs (and fruity, spicy jalapeno in the banh mi to offset fattiness of meat and Pate). Both items promise those herbs and the sandwich promises the spice and freshness of the jalapenos. None were included. Both items ended up being so bland; we basically got a $30 salad and sandwich.

Food is…good, but I expected more authenticity based on the location and quintessential hole-in-the-wall charm of this place. Service is very nice and polite. The egg rolls were tasty and crispy; pho was heavy in anise, but lacked the necessary richness; the BBH included all the traditional accompaniments, but also lacked complexity and lemongrass. Enough to satisfy the craving, but left this West-Coaster with something to be desired.

Excellent food. We love the soup and the wings (so crispy and flavourful). A hidden gem in the Bronx. The atmosphere is very casual. Can’t wait to eat here again. Next door there’s an asian grocery store where you can get bubble tea with your meal, a plus!
