Vegetarian chicken basket! I rarely post local reviews (unless something is standout), but I want to start leaving more photos & info for vegetarians at restaurants that serve meat. Kind of helping along where I see posts or pics lacking. I’m a veg head that will spend hours looking for realistic photos of a restaurant’s nonmeat menu items- and it is exhausting. However, there’s so much nasty vegetarian food out there, I have to verify what it’s gonna look like.

If you are looking for a great place for chicken tenders without waiting forever in lines for national brands like Raising Cane’s or Chick-Fil-A, then Comet Chicken in Downtown Fort Collins is your stop. They also prove the “One Love” concept for really good tenders is not needed. The one tradeoff from Cane’s is instead of texas toast, you instead can order Churros, which honestly is an upgrade at that point. They also feature a variety of zesty, sweet, or spicy sauces to dip or even toss your fingers in. There is also vegetarian options including salads and veggie bowls (with or without chicken). This is also your adults’ chicken place with eight local brews on tap and a couple of simple cocktails. I especially love the Stubborn’s soda fountain featuring Cola or other taps made with pure cane sugar. Honestly just a great place for whenever you are craving chicken. Parking is an easy walk from the Civic Center Parking Lot (ParkMobile app).

I stopped in hungry before a show at Aggie Theater. I was greeted by a very enthusiastic and sweet Sunny at the counter who recommended the Kingston Sandwich (Jerk spiced chicken tenders, green piri piri sauce and power slaw). I substituted the slaw for fries. This soeciql hit the spot on the price ($7.99) and the stomach. I highly recommend stopping into Comet Chicken.

Comet is our go-to delivery option and always satisfies. Best of all, there’s something for the whole family – we get out cat an extra grilled tender so she can also enjoy delicious juicy chicken! (Sometimes she gets a bit of French fry too, but don’t tell the vet.)

Well, I love the food, if only I could get what I order. I ordered a cob salad with grilled chicken, no tomatoes, add cucumber. What I received was a salad with fried chicken. The waiter took it back, but my entire table finished their meal before my order came back. At that point, I received a salad PACKED with tomatoes and missing bacon. Well, I was starving and not about to send it back again.
