Forgot to take pictures BEFORE I dug in. This is hands down. The closest authentic Mexican food I’ve had in Madison. I’m born and raised in Cali and finding good Mexican food has been a challenge. I’m definitely returning here next time I have a crave for Mexican food.

What a quaint little place. Very nicely decorated and clean. There were people of all ages here. The restrooms were clean and it has a huge bar. We were seated quickly and immediately brought water and chips and salsa. The chips were warm the salsa was good but we like ours a little chunkier. We both had Margaritas, which were very tasty, just the right amount of citrus. I ordered Steak and Chicken Fajitas and my Husband had the Burrito Deluxe and the Mole Sauce was real good. My steak was tough and over cooked and the chicken was dry but putting it together with the beans, rice and sour cream made it better. Our server Brianna was awesome and we will probably go back. It wasnt dynamite but the food and service was good.

We haven’t been in to Los compadres two or three years. Well my daughter wanted to go there for dinner tonight and I finally said yes we were the only table in there eating when another couple came in with a service, the whole place was empty and they place the couple in back of us with the dog, now I don’t mind dogs but this one was pretty smelly. There was a time when the dog got up and his body was close to my seat I asked the man to please cuz he was kind of smelly

First time here since moving to Madison almost a year ago, husband and I got the birria tacos and they were fantastic! Somewhat expensive but that’s expected these days. Staff was friendly and were having fun and joking together but still doing there job. We went on a Tuesday so it wasn’t too busy. Would recommend and will be going back!
