If I could give this place an 11/10 I would! The music, cocktails and food were all phenomenal. Every sip I took, bite I took, and every note I heard was on point. They do a $10 live music fee but if it helps with getting good music it’s beyond worth it!

Good drinks, good jazz, the bartenders are cool. It’s wildly instgrammable. It’s a vibe. If you want a table, make a reservation. If you’re ok with the bar (which I think is a miles better experience than the cramped tables in this place) either get there when they open or be patient (and polite). Personally, I’d skip the food but that’s just me. Worth it to do at least once in your life.

Took my mother here thursday because she loves jazz. She also heard some great things about this place. Let me start off with the atmosphere which was comforting. Seats are too close together, and we were sat by the door. Every time someone came in or a server came by, we were being hit in the back. The server barely came to our table, and the price for sub-par drinks was disheartening. Band 5 stars. Man I miss Dowes on 9th.

This place is one-of-a-kind (there are two locations, but each are stunning in different ways)! I love the Shadyside location for it’s vegan menu, intimate seating, and cozy interior that highlights the bar. I love the Downtown location for it’s spacious stage, classy jazz club feel, and Cuban-inspired food. I enjoy this place even more than a couple of the jazz clubs I’ve been to in NYC. Both locations are elegant, elevated, and so so fun. A must-see!

Had a tasty dinner at Con Alma tonight. Quaint little venue on Ellsworth, where we planned to see Michael Malis and Marcus Elliot perform. Due to unfortunate circumstances the venue needed to close early, and hopefully will get the duo back for a future tour. The grilled corn off the Cobb (Esquites) was sweet, and complimented well with the spice of the cold Szechuan noodles. The salsa had both the sweet and the spice, and ended up mixing in a bit with the guacamole which was a creamy cool down. Best wishes to the staff

Strolled by on a week night and enticed by the large bar and live music coming through the open air patio. Quality and creative cocktails. A sexy, fun hang. No complaints, but there is a $10 per person live music charge. A tiny sign inside denotes it but I noticed when it hit the bill. Not sure how they could notify in a cool way and not crack the vibe, so I get. I still go in and do it all over again and will

We looked forward to some smooth jazz with dinner, but we got bust your eardrums jazz with dinner in the dark instead. We literally couldn’t talk to eachother. We had the jerk chicken, and it was seasoned well. The service was friendly and fast. As for drinks, the mojito was terrible but the margarita was good. I don’t think I would return. If I did, I would have to be sitting outside.

Excellent restaurant and service! We wish we were able to have stayed for the jazz band that was starting when we were finishing dinner. Delicious Jambalaya! Thank you!

This place is a huge vibe. The live jazz band was excellent and made the atmosphere cool and relaxed. The chicken was textbook and went well with my Manhattan. Great drinks made by great bartenders who know what they’re doing. Anytime I’m in downtown again, I’m stopping every time.
