This is the saddest excuse for a burger I’ve ever seen. I ordered the big double out west style and the patties weren’t even 2 inches wide. My wife had the regular and hers was the same, she ordered hers without onion and it had onion on it. Not to mention that both of them had almost no BBQ sauce. We would have been better off going to the McDonald’s up the street. Locals will understand how bad it was when I say that even Hardee’s would have been a better choice. Save your money and go somewhere else. This location is absolutely pathetic, this isn’t the first bad experience we’ve had here and management obviously doesn’t care about the quality of food or service.

Waited 20 minutes for my food. Was apologized to several times by the staff who were trying. The issue was I was served a hamburger that was not cooked properly. I am attaching a picture. Yes, I did eat part of the hamburger because the outside edges were cooked. But when I got to the middle I actually noticed that the burger was tasting different and I looked and lo and behold it was raw. It wasn’t cold raw, it was uncooked raw. The food quality at the Franklin Cookout has been extremely inconsistent and very disappointing. And honestly, it’s probably not their fault because the ethos in Macon County is that there are not people that are capable of working a full-time job. Every business owner that we know struggles with staffing. It is absolutely evident that this location is overwhelmed with even a few customers. I think I’ll be contacting corporate about being served raw hamburger. I am attaching a picture of the hamburger for your enjoyment. I hope that this gets their attention. I don’t know. Maybe something the city council can do about not turning Franklin into a rest area for people going to casinos and Cherokee and to Asheville. It’s really funny that they’re building another big Ingles over at the old Walmart shopping center when everyone knows for a fact that they can barely keep the one on the Georgia road staffed. Just hope that I don’t get sick now.

We love cookout restaurants, but this is absolutely the worst. Burger was not cooked and milkshake (double chocolate) had very little chocolate and wasn’t even stirred just squirted in and lid was put on. Ordered a strawberry and got vanilla. Ordered cookout tray with double onion rings and got hush puppies. We will never stop there again!!

Food always burned.Wait is to long for reheated food. Hard to get to if going north. Called to complain. They sent me 2 tray meals instead replacing to whole order. Lost out 8 bucks of extras, time and fuel I spent to get their and back. 56 miles round trip. No offer for that at all. It was not me serving uneditable food. And still unable to eat . They never offed to get us something that night to feed the family. Just par. For a new restaurant they really sucked. Don’t recommend this place at all.

We initially wanted to give this place a while to get things going before visiting. So we waited a couple months before going. However.. we had a party of 5 ordering meals. Not one of us were pleased with our food. Hamburger was so thin and small. BBQ sandwich was mushy like it had been sitting in a bun for hours. Fries were stale and cold. We literally ended up tossing almost everything we ordered. Or kids wouldn’t even eat there’s. Only thing good was the hushpuppies. I’ve been to other cookouts and sadly this one is nothing like any I have ever eaten at before.

I didn’t care for it. I got the Cajun fries but they just dumped a whole lot of seasoning on top. The slaw just taste like sugar no other flavor. The fries werent fresh. The burger was ok. The tea had a weird after taste.

Ordered a barbecue. Bland. Very dry , no sauce, they say they put Texas Pete on it but I cannot taste that .meat has no taste. Waste of money will find a dog to give the barbecue to. Cook-Out should stick to hamburgers, barbecue is not theiir forte

Honestly have never had a good experience at this location. Sylva NC has a tremendously good Cookout. It’s worth the 20 min drive to another town. As you can see from many of the reviews it’s not worth the risk. Service has been terrible many times. Very rude.

A lot of drug trafficking going in and out especially at night. They just hire anyone and meth addicts work there. One of the general managers I know is on meth. I’ve ate there and the chicken I had was undercooked and the chili taste old. Went there twice and still has horrible food.customer Service is fine though. This is a drive through place no dining inside or outside so most ppl park and eat which is ok.
