Immediate impression was that this was going to be a great experience, and CG did not disappoint. It’s was clean and had a great vibe. The smells coming from the kitchen were mouth watering. We started with cheese puffs and they were some of the best I’ve had. I ordered fried noodle with chicken and my husband ordered house special fried noodle. These both were so good and so fresh tasting. I’ll admit I like spicy but their spice level is a little intense so have caution when ordering. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I will be coming back soon to try other things!

Cooking Girl is hands down my favorite Asian restaurant! The food is phenomenal and the service is always amazing. Although the parking situation can be a bit frustrating due to the limited space, there’s always somehow a spot to park. The sesame chicken and salt and pepper shrimp are my go-to dishes, and the rice that comes with every dish is delicious and fluffy. I come here at least once a week and everything I try is amazing. You won’t regret trying out this gem of a restaurant!

We absolutely love Cooking Girl! The Montrose location is our favorite, but we also visit their Holcombe location from time to time. The staff is always friendly and the ambiance is super chill. The amazing Sechuan dishes always hit the spot after a long work week. This place is a real treat. Among out favorite dishes are the Whatafish with pickles, Woodear mushroom salad with onion, peppers and cilantro (pictured here), the orange beef, and the smoky fried cabbage with rice noodles. Can’t forget the Chrisantemum tea! Family style dining means you will share dishes with your table. There are so many options that I can’t list them all. Do yourself a favor and try them for yourself!

This is a popular neighborhood Chinese spot for dine in. It’s got some parking spaces but not plenty. There is more parking across. The atmosphere is quite nice with soft music playing in the background and clean minimal but bright decor details. Not a big restaurant but there is usually no wait. The waitress is always warm and ready to help. If you come in a big group, you should expect some wait, as they just have one waitress based on the times I came here. For food, it’s noticeable that they use good fresh ingredients and dishes are well prepared. We always get cheese puff and xiao long Bao, never disappoints! We got water boiled beef, and sesame chicken this time, chicken was good as usual, but the beef was a bit of a let down since it was a bit old and hard to chew, but not too old. This is the main reason I took off one star. All in all, delicious meal!

Found another Szechuan restaurant that has spicy chicken cubes, and people, it was spicy but I still could taste the other flavors. It’s not easy to and the parking is limited but the food made up for that.

We get takeout all the time from here, and it’s never failed to be awesome. My husband usually grabs it, but this time I went, and the atmosphere is so cute! Next time we’ll probably dine in. I definitely recommend the pepper chicken, but have liked everything we’ve ordered.

I’ve been to both locations and I love it every time I go. I usually get the homing tofu and the green beans. I’ve had other items on the menu and everything is delicious. Service is always great. This location is pretty small so it can get busy.
