Hats off to the cook! Ribs were fabulous and Cooks BBQ sauce is some of the best I ever tasted! Service was phenomenal which is very rare today and very much appreciated! All dishes made from scratch and delicious you must try Cooks BBQ you won’t regret it!

We had lunch there for the first time today and my wife had the pork plate with baked beans and potato salad. We ordered an extra side of Brunswick Stew. I ordered a Chef salad with grilled chicken. The salad was very basic at best nothing but iceberg lettuce a few tomatoes and the chicken was tasteless. I understand I ordered a salad from a BBQ place but I expected something with more flavor. My wife’s BBQ was okay but isn’t on the same level as other BBQ restaurants that are nearby. The plate doesn’t even come with bread. They charge for each piece of bread and more for Texas toast. The beans were good but again simple like canned beans that had bell pepper added. The potato salad was homemade but the potatoes were undercooked a bit and it lacked salt. The stew was good with lots of meat. Overall not a bad restaurant but not on the same level as 3 other BBQ restaurants with one mile of this restaurant. They still have not fixed the driveway since the last restaurant closed there and unless I’m missing something I am afraid this restaurant may not last.

I don’t mess around when it comes to my food. When I try a new restaurant I don’t ever know what I’m walking into. The first thing I noticed when I entered Cook’s BBQ was that it was very clean. Secondly was the friendly staff. We were welcomed the moment my husband and I stepped inside. The food was brought to our table in a timely manner and it all looked amazing. My BBQ sandwich was big, tasty, & hearty. The butt fries and potato salad was amazing too. Don’t get me started on the Brunswick stew. I’ve tried every bbq stew in the area and Cook’s wins hands down. It is full of meat and veggies. The flavor surprised me because it was that delicious. I recommend this place to everyone. You won’t regret it.

Nothing special about the sides. Mac n cheese was dry, didn’t finish it. Coleslaw had too much mayonnaise. Grilled cheese was boring, hard cheese. Texas toast was fine, hard to mess up a piece of buttered bread.

Goodness where do I even start? Some of the best home-cooked BBQ I’ve had in a very long time! Great options, good pricing, perfectly cooked BBQ, great tasting sides, and some of the best fries in town! The BBQ Butt fries and chicken fries are some of my favorites. I’ve tried to sample everything and get something different each visit but I keep going back to the loaded fries. The wings are always cooked to perfection with some of the most tasty sauces. Owner even comes over and chats if he has time, that grill keeps him pretty busy though. Staff is always friendly and always checks on the table. If you haven’t tried it yet, your missing out. Support your local folks! We need to keep the local places around!

Ribs were salty which surprised me, I’ve never had ribs too salty even after dumping half a rub on them. Potato salad tastes like it’s one step from having raisins in it and is extremely bland. Staff is probably some of the worst. Mac and cheese is ok, fries are pretty good. Cook was asking the cashier while we were ordering to hurry up so he could get started and you could tell she didn’t want to be there.

I was at the restaurant one day last week. The food was amazing my server was great. I enjoyed everything, however when I was paying my bill the short dark haired lady with glasses was very stuck up almost to the point of being rude. Almost like she was better than me. I will be back for the food bc it was wonderful. Hopefully the lady at the register will be a little more hospitable..

The fries were homemade and better than Country’s. The sweet tea was fresh and perfectly sweetened, not too sweet and no bitter taste. I had the chicken tender sandwich. To me, it was better than Zaxby’s. I rate this place 5 out of 5 stars because the service was great.

Its been a long long time since I have craved a certain restaurant. I absolutely love everything at Cooks. I’m very picky about Brunswick stew and this one is the best ever. Pls don’t start adding anything to it. It is perfect. The ribs have the perfect spice and smoke flavor. And I dont have to gnaw to get the meat off. The Sides are always great. And of course the sauces are the bomb!
