We had never visited Cook’s Pizza, but since we were in Wakarusa and had heard that it was the place to eat in town, we decided to check it out, so perhaps our expectations were high. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was served fairly quickly and was definitely fresh out of the oven (it was very hot). The pizza was ok but it wasn’t something that I would travel very far to get. If you are obsessed with cheese, than perhaps it would be more to your liking as it was piled on, but the sauce was good. Like many people have noticed, the seating is very limited and it is a tight squeeze to fit all of the tables into the small space. I almost gave a 3 star rating, but decided on 2 because they only accept cash or check, and as someone who is accustomed to paying mostly by card, I had to run over to the local bar to use the ATM and of course the fees that go with that transaction. If you live in Wakarusa, Cook’s Pizza is an ok place to grab a quick bite, but if you are traveling more than 7 miles I would recommend other pizza establishments.

We live about 20 minutes away, and absolutely love this pizza. I remember our first time driving back home, my husband got green peppers on his side (which I hated peppers), but it smelled so good that I had to try a piece. Here we are a few years later, and I’m obsessed with peppers now. The pizza has been great every time since. 🙂

I came here to grab some ice cream with a friend. Really cheap and pretty good. Seemed like a cool little pizza place located in a cool little town. Would have got five stars but they don’t accept cards. (Only cash and checks) . Other than that definitely recommend checking it out

This is the best place for pizza or stramboli.They usually Have great specials also. Great atmosphere small town, This staff is very friendly. Can’t say enough about this restaurant. If you get to Wakarusa you need to try this.
