My first time visiting Cool Runnings and I’m so glad I found this place. Ordered Stewed Chicken with cabbage and yellow rice. The stewed chicken is so tender and flavorful, the cabbage is seasoned just right and the rice soaks up the juices from the chicken and all of it goes so well together.

Now I have tried all the Jamaican spots and this one right here is the place to go!!! Now the pictures here are curry goat (yellow) and oxtails both with cabbage and rice and peas. And the beef patties….scrumptious!!! This is a must place to visit if you are near Waldorf, MD

I love this place and the food! The service is great too! My faves are the oxtails and curry shrimp. Everything is fresh, made to order and well worth the wait. Cool Running is the best place to dine for delicious authentic Caribbean dishes in Charles County. And I mean the best place for true authentic curry chicken , which is my favorite.

The oxtails, rice, and peas were good. I have been looking for a place a little closer than Tropicana, that serves good oxtails. The service was good, I met the owner and she was very nice, informative, and welcoming. I will definitely be going back to support and will encourage others to try it out. The website states their closed on Sundays however; you can always reserve the establishment and they will provide brunch.

Ok so i was skeptical about this place based on the reviews but I’m glad i decided to go. Idk if the owner/lady with the low cut hair has been reading the reviews but she was pleasant and respectful. Under staffed for sure but i could tell she was working very hard and clearly communicated wait times and reasoning when ordering. The food was a 10/10 highly recommend! I got the curry goat with rice and peas and cabbage, also a beef patty with coco bread. Everything was so well seasoned and fresh, my food was piping hot! I couldn’t even hold the bag at the bottom. Nice big portions, i will definitely be returning.

Food was good and the wait time wasn’t bad 20 minutes for 4 dinner plates and two sides. The plantains were great! The Mac was pretty good. And all of the meat with our meal was very flavorful.

This food is DELICIOUS! I had the jerk salmon, rice and peas and steamed cabbage and it was all just delicious. I even called to tell the cook how much i enjoyed my meal because honestly it doesn’t happen often around here. But this experience was great and i cannot wait to go back.

The food is delicious. My mother loves the curry goat. The chicken rasta pasta w/ broccoli is the favorite for my daughter, son and myself. My husband enjoys the jerk salmon. The brown stew chicken is also delicious. I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. The portions are generous. The taste is authentic. The owner and her team members are friendly and professional. This place is a definite win!
