Our first time here! Service is amazing and the food is even better. Pictured is the arancini appetizer, risotto and mozzarella then fried and served with a tomato cream sauce. Decadent is a good word to describe it. We ordered the sirloins and the sear was mmmmm. Grilled asparagus was cooked perfectly I was shocked.

We have been to this restaurant twice since the new owners took over. The first time was early in the season. We sat outside and it was clear they were under staffed. Food was ok, but it took 45 minutes just to get a drink. Went back tonight to see if they have gotten more staff. The answer is, no. One person acting as hostess, bartender and waitress for the inside and outside. We won’t be back even though we loved going when it was the old owners. These new owners need to either close the restaurant or hire staff.

Was there for the first time on 6-15 for dinner. Was seated outside as it was a perfect day weatherwise. Waitress was attentive and very pleasant. My wife and I ordered our meals, received our drinks, and looked forward to a nice dinner. We were then was subjected to a LOUD phone call two tables away from ours. ( there were only two tables occupied) Various and numerous obscenities were heard from the both sides of their conversation pertaining to how the game of golf should be played. ( Fthis, Fthat )I asked the waitress to correct this problem and she in turn informed the manager. Absolutely nothing was done and the loud, obscene phone call went on and on until these jerks paid their bill and left. Food was OK but everything was tainted by this lack of management’s civil responsibility. It should not be left to the customer to police the environment for rude, obnoxious behavior. Probably will not return.

Don’t waste your time and money here. Many menu items are not available and the ones that are will only dissappoint. They either forgot to stock the kitchen or are too cheap to make a proper meal. Wait staff was friendly but rather embarrased about the food they had to serve. Ordered chicken wings and receiced the tiniest wings ever. More like quail wings. Also a plate of nachos…but with hardly any cheese? Then the reuben sandwich, with a small chunk of pickle on the side. Wheres the beef? Maybe 2 slices tops. And the pickle chunk…is there a pickle shortage?

Just returned from this restaurant and it was an excellent experience! Our food was delicious and piping hot! Felt bad for our waitress as she was the ONLY waitress working. Another young lady (Amanda) took us to our seat and answered as many questions as she was allowed as she is not yet an actual waitress. She will be great when she is 18! Beautiful view, great food and friendly service. What more can you ask for on a beautiful Saturday evening !

Had a gift certificate to use so I gave it a try. The French Onion soup was very strange tasting and overloaded with bay leaves. No specials were available to try. The Turkey BLT had a pesto mayo on it which my wife did not like and could not eat. Overpriced for mediocre basic bar food. Thank God our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The word in the community is that this restaurant has gone “down hill” under its new management. Bring back the old Vista. Remember their Monday Pasta Night. It was great.

Ordered Bone-in chicken wings and ask that they be prepared extra crispy. They were served at the table with soft barely cooked skin. When asked by the waitress how we liked the wings, I told her they were not prepared as I had asked. All I got was; I told them you wanted extra crispy. No offer to make it good!!!

This is my 5th time at Cooley Kill in the last 2 months. In my last three visits, I got the NY Strip with mash potatoes and asparagus. Today, I tried it with the Au Poivre. Service is always very good. The steak is very delicious. It has a nice char on the outside, has plenty of flavor throughout and cooked just right. And the price is right. Arancini with the smoked gouda is also very delicious. I decided on a Chardonnay; they have one. It is buttery, very pleasant.

Bar staff double-charged us and did not know how to credit it back to our credit cards. Waited over 45 minutes while she served everyone else besides us. Then sought out a manager… and then told us that she could fix it the next day! We had no choice but to trust her. Food was ok.
