Every time I travel to Austin Texas, for the past 10 plus years, I always stop here in Llano, Texas. The experience, staff, service, and food is nothing short of perfection! Every time I have visited, I feel welcomed and they make you feel right at home. I tell others about this place all the time and I forever will be a patron! Any time you drive thru, stop here! This place is definitely worth a visit and the experience at least once. The brisket was very salty when we last visited, and the ribs and sirloin were pretty good. The other sides are average, and the BBQ sauce is water and vinegar. The inside had so many flies that you may as well sit outside. It’s overpriced, but what BBQ isn’t?!?! The free beans were good.

If you find yourself in Llano and love BBQ, you definitely need to check this place out. The have some of the most delicious ribs I’ve ever had! The meat sells by the pound but you can tell the guys there exactly how much you want and they’ll trim it for you. Once you’ve picked your servings, you’ll go inside and hand the tray of meat over to the people inside to weigh it. While in line, you can pick your choice of peach cobbler, apple pie, blackberry or pecan pie. I recommend all of them, they’re made just right! After you pay you can seat yourself in their benches inside. There is an overflow area across the street from the pits. At the self serve bar they have pickles, onions and beans and utensils. Paper towels are available at the bench you sest yourself at. And also fountain drinks and sweet tea. There is also an area where you can place your utensils and trays after you’re done, so please be courteous and help the staff out and throw your trash away.

This place lives up to the hype! BBQ is Texas has gotten out of hand where a lot of places that people talk about aren’t worth it – but this place is! Burnt ends were great (super salty) and the Mac and cheese was awesome with black pepper – but the most surprising thing was how good the green beans were!! Yes and more please!

What can you say about Cooper’s BBQ except that it is best it is best in BBQ in the state of Texas and beyond. You tell them how much, they cut it in front of you and you go inside to pay. A unique set up but one that works. The food, assuming you like BBQ, is out of this world. The ribs, briscuit, chicken….it’s all good and tender beyond belief. Don’t forget the three flavors of homemade cobbler, cherry, apple and peach, which can be had with or without (I prefer with) Bluebell ice cream. I will go there every time I’m in the Llano area.

I love the smell of bbq and picking out your meats from the grill. The sirloin steak is flavorful and juicy. Don’t forget the mac and cheese and corn in the cob. You can serve yourself beans,picked, and onions are the condiments area.
