This is one of my favorite restaurants. The menu is very interesting and if you like a little or a lot of spice this is the place for you.

Fun little restaurant with great ambiance and a small dining space. You’ll definitely want to set up a reservation ahead of time! The food was very tasty.

Has a touch of old school vibe but without the stuffiness, and with a touch of modern casual. 90s-2000s alternative rock was playing in what otherwise might feel like an old very small steakhouse pub. DEFINITELY get the daily egg roll special – these aren’t Chinese egg rolls but random, fun, flavors. For example this week had shrimp and grits egg rolls during Mardi Gras timing. The short rib specialty dinner was delicious, melt in your mouth. Cocktails were all solid. Server was very nice although not the most attentive during our visit. The bread pudding was very good – I have had better but this one was up there.

A little restaurant with great food. It is a small place so you may have to wait to get a table but the food is worth it. The best veggie burger I have had in Des Moines! You can switch out any of the burgers for the veggie patty. I leftover veggie burger even warmed up well at home. The fries also have a nice seasoning on them.

Highly recommend. My boyfriend and I were so impressed by this restaurant. Both of our meals were DELICIOUS. And the fried zucchini appetizer was so addicting. We especially loved that there was a note on the menu stating that you can buy the chef’s a beverage.

The app we had was delish-elotes. We both had amazing meals. Short ribs with Caesar salad, and salmon with risotto and soup. Everything was phenomenal. Got some mixed drinks that were stellar. Our server was knowledge and made great recommendations. Cute cozy spot. Would recommend making a reservation.

Delicious dinner in a quaint restaurant. I followed the advice of other reviewers and booked a reservation ahead of time. I highly recommend doing this because the restaurant is not very big. We had the steak deburgo (a local specialty) and the short ribs. They both tasted amazing! I also recommend going across the street to the Winchester Public House after dinner for some delicious cocktails.

What a find! Discovered Cooper’s on 5th online while searching for a unique restaurant to hold a business luncheon for Clients. Decided to go with the wife first for dinner. Tasty food, great service, quaint atmosphere, super fair prices. Reminded me of a family neighborhood restaurant in New Orleans! This place is a winner and we will be back!

Took a family of 5 and spent almost $300 for an atmosphere that was absolutely horrible for conversation. The garlic parmesan dressing had so much raw garlic, not only did it taste bad, I was tasting garlic all evening. The pasta was unimpressive, beef ribs were decent given they’re cooked overnight but this was a highly disappointing experience.
