Cooter Stew Cafe proved to be a wonderful dining experience, capturing the essence of small-town charm. Returning is a delight, and the staff’s warmth added a personal touch. Their knowledge of St. Mark’s history added to the ambiance.

Unfortunately, our hamburgers were ok, even good, going down but left us both with upset stomachs and discomfort the entire night. Even now, in the morning, we both feel it. And my burger was supposed to be rare but came well done. This is our 3rd last and time eating at this restaurant.

UPDATE. We came to St. Mark’s for a getaway weekend. Came here last night and back again tonight. First night we had the Buffalo shrimp wrap and the Caesar chicken wrap. Tonight we had the loggerhead burger and the pulled chicken sandwich. I’m here to tell you the food is absolutely amazing! Service is on par with the food as well, friendly local staff. Hand ground and patted beef, local fish and shrimp, and great local brews on tap. This place is a must visit! Even if you live in Tallahassee, worth the drive. A must visit.

I am sorry that I did not try this place sooner I always went to the other spot near by and Cooter stew cafe beats them hands down for quality and taste. They have a small menu but that means they can focus on making each meal really tasty. The atmosphere is that of a small fishing town bar/cafe real down home. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was prepared with care and pride and man was it good.

My wife and I go here alot and always enjoy the people and the service. Food is reasonably priced and always good. Laid back atmosphere. Easy to relax here while you eat your meal.

Quaint little shop. Didn’t go in due to covid. Outdoor seating was great though, although the tables could have been spaced out a little better. Food was okay, we had the fish wrap and slaw dog. The coleslaw was good. My friend had the potato salad, and complained that it tasted off. We complained to the lovely lady serving us and she promptly offered something else.

Laid back, mostly outdoor seating. Lots of locals and Harley riders. People bring their dogs. Go inside to order, they will bring your food out when ready. Some seating inside and they had some sports on TV. Live music sometimes outside. Bug spray on table for some tiny gnats. Awesome burgers!!! Bottled beer and Bottle of seagrams sangria. Seating is a variety from old lawn furniture to bar stool. Right on the road so no view of the river. But for burgers this good who cares. They do take credit cards and just run a tab for you. We will return!

Rode the Tally to St. Marks trail. Stopped at Cooters for a beer and burger. Great little joint, guess it gets pretty crowded on weekends but I was here mid week. Burger was spot on, opted for chips instead of the fries, didn’t feel the need to haul them back 16 miles up the road! They have a good selection of can/bottled beer and a couple on tap.
