What an elegant and lovely restaurant. The entire staff was delightful and efficient! We casually mentioned it was our anniversary to the host as he sat us and when our server came she said happy anniversary! The food was excellent! The best new York strip and prime rib we’ve ever had! And the view of the landscaped falls was beautiful. A bit pricey but worth it-huge portions!

As a person who worked in the restaurant business for many years I like to share an educated acessment on new restaurants I dine at. Despite the reviews above me and my family dinned two nights ago here. We had steak, chicken, Pasta and veggie dinners. I like to expound from a simple one star system. So here it is. Keep in mind my 5 stars is the best experience I’ve had!

We wanted to celebrate our 33rd anniversary at a nice restaurant with ambience. We decided to go to Copper Falls Steakhouse because that was where we went on our first date 33 years ago….it was Great Lakes Steak Company then. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked into Copper Falls Restaurant and found it had been turned into a fine dining establishment. We were seated in front of the picture window overlooking 3 waterfalls, flowers and small wildlife. The food was great and so was the service. We had an appetizer, the Ribeye Steak, Whitefish Oscar, Crab & Lobster Bisque. The food was high quality, generous portions (enough to take home and have dinner the next day), and very delicious. We ended our meal with the homemade expresso and dark chocolate ice cream which was fabulous. Our waitress, Lexie, was spectacular. She gave attention to fine details without hovering. They also gave extra attention because we needed one of the meals to be gluten-free. We will definitely go back again.

Mediocre at best. The latest trend with waitstaff not writing orders down on paper was on full display. Yup…she mucked it up! $30 New York steak was poor quality….spinach salad was partially “old”. Poured and charged me for a double drink. Chef came by and asked how everything was…but that was before we received any food. Atmosphere is nice…but astonishingly pricey for the experience.

The restaurant’s website is outdated. What the website said they had was not what they had. The service was just okay. The server could not tell us why their ‘lava roks’ were a more healthy way to cook when their menu proclaimed they were. We entered at 6:30 and got our dinners at 7:45. My prime rib came to the table colder the the horseradish sauce it was served with. It was on the pricey side and not worth the price.

The drinks tasted great, food is good. Service attention for the price range could be vastly improved. Did not see our server for 10 minutes, while our drinks were empty. I do not mind at all paying 40$ for the better menu choices, but additional servers should be included.

Amazing steaks, incredible sides, delicious breads and fabulous service. The ambiance is a throwback to when steakhouses were the haunts of respected power brokers from every industry, very dapper. Did I mention there’s a dominant view of a stone waterfall as if you are dining somewhere in the Rocky Mountains? Copper Falls Steakhouse is definitely unique and a pleasant addition to Traverse City’s upper-crust gastronomy.

Saturday night 10/21/16 we were looking for a nice steak house to have our wedding anniversary dinner. We were staying in Traverse City for the weekend. The restaurant which was recommended had an hour wait. We decided to try this place since our hotel had this on their recommended list. SO DISAPPOINTED. We walked in and the place was empty. I asked if that was not a good sign and was assured that all should be fine. Hubby and I both ordered Prime Rib He got the King and I got the Queen. We ordered it Med Rare which is how we always order it. When it came it looked picture perfect. Almost too picture perfect. We both cut in to ours and was shocked at how tough it was. We took bites and were shocked that it was only luke warm. Med Rare – NOPE. No juices or blood flowing out of this. We were shocked. We told our waitress and she said she wasn’t surprised and brought us a complete other dinner. She brought filets on the lava rock (which I have to say was really good). We asked if she told the chef about the AWFUL prime rib and she said yes – it was cooked yesterday. SERIOUSLY??? Never have we run into this. I would not recommend this place to anyone and if you go. PLEASE PLEASE ask if the food is fresh or Recooked!!!! Also, sadly a manager never came out and addressed the issue. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

My wife and I went on line to find a nice restaurant and came across the Copper Falls Steakhouse and decided to give it a try. We were seated at a table in front of a large picture window that looked out on a small garden with three waterfalls. The view was very nice. The service and the food were excellent. My wife and I split the 10 ounce filet mignon with a wedge salad. It was perfectly prepared and more than enough for the two of us. We will definitely return.

READ THIS REVIEW FIRST**** We learned that this place was just purchased from old management in September,2015. We were sat right away. Awesome food, awesome service. Head chef / owner walked around and greeted everyone, even helped clear tables when it was busy. Prices were cheaper than others in the area. Great experience! Interior was beautiful. Took my wife for our anniversary.
