Being a small town options on restaurants are limited. Very sad news on the recent passing of the owner. Been here on many occasions and the biggest thing they could work on is the food. Recently there are many things “unavailable” which is concerning for the future of the restaurant. In addition food often comes out cold, and the asparagus in my opinion is under cooked still being fairly firm vs softer. Not sure if this is just my personal preference but yeah. I tend to go on less busy times and it helps with the timeliness and warmth of food. Typically the servers are very friendly and attentive so kudos on this. Probably a main reason to go.

The restaurant is one of the nicer ones in the area. The food is good; howbeit a tad bit expensive. The environment is clean and there is a couple different options for seating. There is a more casual environment upstairs and a nicer location in the main dining. Either way the service is good. I’ve always enjoyed the food although the steaks tend to be over cooked. As long as the steak is ordered a little more rare than you like it, it will come out perfectly.

It’s a fun establishment. The patio is comfortable and the staff is super friendly. Our food was cooked nicely and came out pretty quick (shrimp a little undercooked). The taste was “okay”, not anything special. The serving was decent size. I’d eat there again as there are minimal choices in the area. Dessert was not that great. Shared Boston Cream Pie with my friend. It was a frozen pie with barely any cream. We didn’t finish it.

We visited Safford for a 3 day bike ride. When the ride was over we searched for a nice place to celebrate. We found this restaurant and decided it would be okay even for the vegetarian in our group. We called and arranged a table for 9 and we were greeted warmly when we arrived. The food was delicious. I enjoyed the prime rib and it was a huge serving cooked perfectly.

I’ll start off with they charge $3.00 for a side salad and .50 for the ranch/dressing. The salad dressing should come with a salad!!! They also added $1.00 surcharge for credit card payments when we were paying cash. They did take that part off but not the salad dressing charge!!! Watch for ridiculous up charges.

The very BEST place anywhere around. The Prime Rib is juicy and tender and so delicious!!! The burgers are actually ground steak and are very good as well. The owners, Perry and Gary are great folks. I’m glad I was fortunate enough to have got to know them and eat there many times. If I ever go out West again I will for sure make it one of my stops. Too bad we don’t have them here.
