My husband and I stopped here for a meal after a long day of hiking. The service was fantastic, especially the owner’s son who brought out our food with utmost gusto (seriously, the best hype-man when it comes to food!) We ordered skinny margaritas and the Molcajete, both authentic and delicious. Another thing I wanted to mention was how fresh the chips and salsa they brought out at the beginning were. I even asked for a serving of salsa verde which was so tasty. Highly recommend this homey little joint if you’re in the mood for legit Mexican food.

I wanted to try this place for the first time and I didn’t get the best first impression. I found the host to be a little too chatty. He just wouldn’t stop talking to me and my date. I didn’t think much of it until he came to the table and introduced himself as our server. I went to the hostess stand to request a new server. He comes to my table and confronts me in front of my lady friend with a dining room full of people looking at us. I decided at that point to get up and leave. That’s my experience with this place. I did not care for how they handled the situation. I will not be back.

We enjoyed our dinner here. Super cute Mexican restaurant with some authentic food that not every Mexican restaurant has which I loved. The guacamole was freshly made and delicious! We split a mocajete which was huge! Everything in it from the pork, to the chicken to the beef was tender and delicious. Will definitely return!
