I really like Cork and Barrel. They are offering world class fare. High end atmosphere and professional staff that are super friendly and very helpful. I ordered the Ono fish. The temperature of the fish was perfect. The execution couldn’t be better. Off the fork, the sheen of the moisture could still be seen in the flesh. However, there was an extremely over powering chyanne spice on the seer. The spice over powered the fish to the point unbearable to eat. Way too hot. I will still go back, because this restaurant is very top notch and doing great work.

The food was pretty yummy this time (portions way more than a serving, however). The service we had (didn’t have) was severely lacking. After the food was served, the only thing said to us was, “Do you need a box?” How about, “How is everything?” First, next time?!

This place is going to be in the running for the top 10 fancy restaurants in Billings! The food, flavors, and creative seasonal cocktails did not disappoint! Live music in the bar with a classy but casual atmosphere was perfect for meeting with friends or a romantic rendezvous. Looking forward to trying more from their menu.

We had a most excellent dinner at this restaurant. My husband had the ribeye special, our daughter had chicken and I had the shrimp and lobster curry. All of our meals were exceptionally delicious! We enjoyed the atmosphere and our waiter was friendly and very competent. We all agreed that it was a most pleasant dining experience and that we will definitely eat here again!

We sat on the patio and I’m not sure if that contributed to the service or what, but our server checked on us only once while we had our entree’s. If she had checked with us at all before we had to leave for a concert, we would have had a chance to let her know that the ribs my husband ordered were super dry. My jambalaya was good but wasn’t boasting with flavor. I will say our appetizer, the pork belly skewers, were delicious, however. We both sat with empty drinks and empty water glasses for 20-30 minutes. We would have easily ordered two more drinks a piece if given the chance.

They sure know flavor at Cork & Barrel. Each of the dishes and cocktails I’ve ordered in three separate visits have been packed with great flavor. I’ve tried something new each time and at some restaurants that can leave you disappointed- but I’ve been nothing but happy and pleased with everything I’ve ordered (and the other dishes that my husband ordered that I got got have a bite or two of). We’ve ordered the Harissa Chicken, stuffed portobello, braised beef gnocchi, and Beef Mole bowl. All dishes were awesome and I can’t wait to eat each of them again. Drinks: their options are great, their mocktail and cocktail menus are mouthwatering- and specifically their spicy margarita might be the best I’ve had in Billings or even Montana as a whole. And because we dine with a toddler these days I must mention their well thought out kids menu that offers a good mix of kid approved options.

The food was good, our waitress was nice. We did have an issue where we left a tip of $10 but charge $30. Took the restaurant a few days to even respond and we were told our waitress had 2 tables with the exact bill amount and mixed up the tip amounts, okay mistakes happen. Their handling of the situation was lacking.
