The bread dip trio appetizer was a nice warm up for the the entrees. Pork schnitzel blt was a good size and the cutlet was nice and crispy. My wife’s lobster ravioli was the start of dinner though. Really delightful.

John, the bartender, was clearly very passionate about his job. He made wonderful recommendations and made a delectable old fashioned.

I couldn’t recommend Cork & Gabel enough for anyone looking for a venue to host a wedding/larger party! The restaurant has a ton of character, great mix of indoor and outdoor space with city views & the prettiest warm glow from it’s lighting at night. The food was outstanding (as always!) & we were able to choose custom food & drink options which was extra special. Our guests can’t stop raving about the amazing cocktails and the attentive bar staff giving drink recommendations & truly making whatever guests wanted. The owner, Matt, was incredible to work with and quickly answered all our questions, shared recommendations based on the space and went above & beyond to ensure our reception felt true to us and went off without a hitch. Thank you so much Matt & the Cork & Gabel team for such an awesome experience!!

Bit disappointed, great atmosphere of building. Don’t bother ordering the chicken wings, they were the size tiny frog legs. My salad had the brown edges. The burgers were delicious. The sauce for breadsticks was amazing. Other food me and my friends taste swapped were pretty amazing. One thing that was really weird to me. For how huge the place is all the floor space with not many tables. We waited about a hour to get in and it wasn’t real busy. But there was literally 10 empty tables we could have been seated at but was out on a waiting list. The restaurant has tons of potential just needs to be managed better. Those empty tables could have been making money on drinks and appetizers while people waited, totally missed opportunity. Their food selection was pretty good, I’d come back for a 2nd try.

We had a wonderful brunch at Cork and Gabel. They accommodated a party of 12 ( that was originally booked as a party of eight ) immediately, flawlessly and seemingly effortlessly. The food was delivered super fast, piping hot, and really delicious. The staff from the hostess to the server to the kitchen was amazing. The ultimate bloody Mary and the coffee and donuts were the big hits of the morning.

I’m a BIG fan of the Corktown Area in Detroit. This was my first time at Cork & Gabel and I’m mad that I waited this long. Scanning over what they were serving I loved how the menu was a play on food with and Irish/German edge (was fitting for the area). I loved the Benny and Omelette section as I’m a savory girl myself.

We had breakfast there but I cant remember the name the dish I ordered but it was delicious! We also ordered the mimosa with the Pomagranate so yummy. We went there three time so far and have never been disapointed.

Fantastic service! Loved the C&G burger at medium rare. Other C&G burger at medium looked great as well. Smoked Old Fashioned was very tasty. The Dubliner cheese dish was outstanding! Wings were a little over cooked, but the blue cheese sauce was a nice compliment. Most definitely going back.
