We ordered the special, which was one quarter chicken, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce and a roll. After waiting for fifteen or so minutes, the food arrived. I dove into the stuffing, which to my surprise was less than room temperature. I then tried the potatoes, which were Luke warm, at best. The dinner roll was soft and very good, but I happen to get a “bad” pat of butter, that was rancid.

We had the special of the day which was fried chicken with potato dumplings with a side of coleslaw and cranberry sauce. Though we didn’t have any, we saw the home made yeast rolls cooling in the back room…smelled delicious. The service was great, our food came quickly and Don, the owner, filled us in on the history of the restaurant, its unique circus poster and the town happenings. We enjoyed sitting inside at a table overlooking the Chippewa River. We would definitely recommend it to others.

The service was amazing, the food was fantastic and the view of the river on the patio was just so relaxing. Prices are extremely reasonable and well worth it. They have an extensive menu.
