Excellent food! Catfish and collards is amazing. The chicken is perfectly cooked with a wonderful crunch. The waffle is in a league of it’s own, light and delicious with a perfect faint crispy edge. Hand pies are delicious, peach cobbler is gooey goodness. Fried green tomatoes awesome. Loaded waffle fries were good, but could have used more cheese and bacon. The grit cakes and crawfish might be my favorite appetizer, they are sensational. A close second is the deep fried Mac and cheese bites.

There is a buzz around the new restaurant downtown and deservedly so. They have southern comfort food with a bit a twist. The space is comfortable for big groups with indoor and outdoor seating. They kept the beer wall from the Greenhaus which is fun. The Nashville Hot Chicken won’t overwhelm you, but it does have nice heat that builds as you eat. The collards need more vinegar, but that is personal preference. Having vinegar at the table or to offer would be nice. The service was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. As with any new restaurant there were some issues with the technology when paying, but that can easily be fixed in time.

We have been really excited to try this place and finally got down there tonight. Food was decent – two of us got classic chicken and waffles, one Nashville hot with a waffle, and we shared the loaded waffle fries and mac and cheese bite appetizers. The decor is super cute – lots of plants and a very relaxed vibe. Unfortunately, our server left A LOT to be desired. She was kind, but unbothered, and wasn’t the least bit attentive for checking back/refills. We had been sitting, all finished, for about fifteen minutes and she never came to ask if we were done or wanted the check. We ended up having to flag her down for it. It kinda killed the experience for us a little bit.

Welcome to Lynchburg, Cosmos! This oasis of awesome beer, apps, houseplants, chicken and waffles is a perfect addition to the downtown area. Service was attentive and friendly. The pour-your-own beer is FUN! You can make your own flight. Food came out fast. We are visiting from Alexandria and were so surprised they had just opened that I had to give them a proper shoutout! Can’t wait to come back again 🙂

This restaurant is fantastic! The chicken and waffles is delicious and my friend who considers herself a shrimp and grits aficionado says theirs is the best she has ever had. There’s a cool and casual vibe and the beer/cider wall is so much fun. Outdoor dining if you have leashed pups is a bonus. Oh, and the peach cobbler is chef’s kiss amazing!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Great atmosphere and really good service but that’s about where it ends. Nashville chicken and waffles is not Nashville chicken. More like just chicken tenders with a thick hot sauce dumped on them. Mac and cheese was Luke warm at best with not much cheese or flavor. Salad was good. This place has great potential. Just needs to improve their food. Brunch looks promising. I’ll have to try it.

Sean and the staff at Cosmos are awesome! We hosted a wedding rehearsal dinner and party at Cosmos and it was amazing! The venue is fantastic with indoor and outdoor seating, the food is just phenomenal, the beer wall was a huge hit and the cocktails made by friendly and professional bar staff. And Sean and the management staff were so great to work with! On a scale of 1 to 10, cosmos gets a 100! Everyone at the party raved about how fun cosmos was! If you are looking for a place for good food, great music and a fantastic atmosphere or want to hold a private party, I highly recommend Cosmos!

Friday night at about 730PM and we were one of only a few people there. The vibe to us was very odd. A trendier or more upscale menu would seem to fit better in the space. The drink menu was intriguing, but didn’t match the basic menu. While our appetizer of the loaded fries was below average we did enjoy our chicken sandwiches. The beer wall had a good selection of beers. After I poured my first beer I spotted a fruit fly. I figured it must have flown into my beer. Poured another and there were about 8-10 fruit flies floating in it right from the tap. Girlfriend poured a different one and several fruit flies were in it. We were done after that. This could be a really cool space, however I do not see this current concept lasting long.

The food, service, and atmosphere were all great! The chicken and waffles and shrimp po boy were delicious! The food came out in a timely manner, and our server was great! The restaurant itself has a fun vibe. We will definitely be back!

Well I wish I was able to even try the food! We got to Cosmos at 9am when we realized that they open at 10am. No big deal and completely on us, so we walked around downtown and the community market to kill an hour. We were so excited to try it and was willing to wait till they officially opened. We get there again at 10am when they supposedly open and they had a paper on the door that said they didn’t open now until 11am for whatever reason. Photo attached. So disappointed after all the advertising and to experience this with the tardiness it had. A new business especially should open when they say or let people know of any delays well before an hour of opening.
