This is a very nice and unique place, brought my mother and sister in laws to try something new and we love it, I can’t eat spicy food (didn’t know almost everything was) but staff were so kind as to make me something to eat with more of a mild spice. They were checking to see if the food was ok with me. They are the best. Very nice people and place.

My boyfriend and I come here once a week. It’s very good and flavorful.They have lot of vegetarian and vegan. They have Thali plate on Saturday and dosa night on Wednesday evenings. Must try. Thali has vegetarian and non vegetarian options. Very aromatic and delicious items. The service is nice all the employees are sweet and helpful. Food is made fresh. Clean areas to sit inside.Easy to take it home as well. Love this place… Owner is very sweet.

My family recently had a wonderful lunch at Cosmos! I was very impressed at the large menu with many dishes I hadn’t seen at other Indian restaurants. The food was excellent, the naan sampler in particular! My four-year-old enjoyed her lunch, especially the individual gulab jamun that someone kindly brought out for her. We’ll be back soon.

My wife and I are in love with trying Indian food everywhere we can and we travel quite a bit. We just recently moved to Lawrence and last night we discovered literally the best Indian restaurant we have ever encountered. My wife called to order the samosas and chicken korma. The woman that helped us was friendly and knowledgeable and was happy to offer suggestions. She suggested the Northern chicken korma. All I can say is WOW!! The food came steaming and hot. The fragrant smell of this delicious food filled our kitchen immediately. The chicken korma sauce was rich, complex, and provided layer upon layer of exotic pleasing flavors. The bread was fresh and warm and it absorbed the sauce that we didn’t dare waste!! The samosas were crispy and rich and coupled perfectly with the chutneys they provided. We spent the entire meal just saying… Whoa, wow, oh man… It was exceptional!! The only thing as wonderful as this food was the friendly and welcoming staff. I felt like I was eating food prepared in a home of a beloved relative and it was definitely comforting. Not only will we be back time and time again but I look forward to trying everything cosmos Cafe has to offer. After this review I do believe I’ll be making another order shortly this afternoon!!! Love it! So do yourself a favor and check this local jewel of a restaurant out! You won’t be disappointed!

All food served was ready to eat food , frozen and reheated. It’s not healthy, Naan ready packed food and re-heated and served, it was very hard and rubbery. All curry highly expensive and even that is ready to eat from food somebrand and reheated before serving. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel. Do not try samosa or any Chaats it’s all ready to eat and poor quality. All most all food in menu we ordered was served, which is made out of frozen ready to eat food, nothing prepared fresh.

Cosmos is one of my favorite places to eat in Lawrence. The south Indian section of the menu is especially good. I feel that the Wednesday night dosa special and the Saturday lunch thali are good deals for the money.

I ate here about a year ago and it was pretty good, but just ate here again tonight, and was really disappointed. I would love to support a local Indian grocery and restaurant, but the food seemed all prepackaged and heated up. I’m quite certain that the only thing in the entrée fresh was the rice. Saag Paneer seemed like it was a frozen and thawed, watery and nothing like like a traditional creamed spinach. One of the desserts was some sort of prepackaged pudding and the other golub that seemed like a frozen donut. I hope this is not typical. They have a very large menu, so I have no idea how they could make everything on that menu fresh.

As amazing as the food is and friendly the staff is. I hope they’re able to declutter a bit. There is a lot happening in such a small area of the restaurant since it is connected to not just a grocery but also a smoke shop. The food is spot on and we will continue because it is just that good.
