One of the nearly forgotten true country cafes. Typical cafe food, with a decent salad bar. The waitress was amazing, serving about 15 tables at a time. It’s hard to get help! She works 12 hour shifts!!

Breakfast before a long motorcycle ride north. The Country Café is clean and the people are nice, both customers and employees. Certainly has a “country” feel which was a really nice change for this city boy motorcycling around the Virginia mountains. I had a delicious western omelet (the omelet photos are very accurate) with toast and potatoes. Food was served hot and it all tasted delicious. Nice serving size had me going till after lunchtime. Food prices are fair and the window view is nice, too. Just happens that this area is half-way to my next motorcycle trip destination. I’ll be booking the RoseLow motel and stopping here for breakfast before getting on the road again.

After a horrible 2 night stay at The Homestead, we checked out early to travel to the Hotel Roanoke and found this gem for breakfast! Our waitress was incredible along with the youngsters that were helping her. The omelette was wonderful, fluffy and not greasy! The biscuit was perfect. The sausage gravy was good without all the heavy salt. Great choice we made.
