Almost didn’t stop but decided to try it anyway. Do not get the full order of Chicken Fried Steak – that would be a real challenge. We got half an order of chicken fried steak with sides and that was more than enough for us. The food was very good and the prices were super reasonable. Yes, the decor was more 60’s – 70’s style but hey! The meal was worth it!!! Will definitely come back next time we visit Huntsville!!

Everything was cooked perfectly and come out as ordered. Do not order the full order of Chicken fried steak, this thing should be a earing challenge. All the food was tasty. Really enjoyed our meal.

Huge restaurant that is in need of remodeling. Dated decor with water stains ceiling. Staff was ok, a bit detached for a waitress. Food was ok with portions size alright. Chicken fried steak was good, black eye peas we’re good. Fried shrimp was ok, the steak looked tired. Texas toast was good. Everything had a tired feel to it. I would skip this spot, sorry . With the prices today certainly not worth it.

My chicken fried steak was very good. I read a review that a half order was large enough for most people. It definitely was. The mashed potatoes and Cole slaw were also good. The appetizer sampler was good, but nothing special.

We were in there the other evening and the owner was to busy talking and the waiter didn’t take our order intill I asked her .and when we left the manager was rude so they just lost a good customer.

A diamond in the rough. Nothing fancy, you will not see garnish here, but the prices are good, the food seemed fresh, and the service was fine. I got a chicken fried steak half portion..It was rather large for a half. The sausage gravy was excellent. I had fried oysters, they were fresh and tasted great. Fried shrimp, excellent. Sirloin was done perfectly, not chewy, and nicely seasoned. If you’re not from around here, check Google maps to leave the restaurant…trust me.

The service was very inconsistent. Ordered the chicken fried steak, super bland, the mash potatoes taked dirty. My sisters burger was dripping so much in grease she could not even eat it. Just overall horrible experience and a waste of money. 2/10 do not recommend.

The food was great and reasonably priced for what you get. True it may not look all fancy and done up on the inside, just a basic restaurant look, but the food makes up for it. Will definitely be returning.

Large portions of great down home comfort food. We ordered chicken fried steak & fried catfish dinner and both were outstanding. We stopped here on our way home from vacation. Was kind of hesitant at first since it’s just a hole in the wall kinda place, but very glad we did!
