A rustic restaurant with a cabin feel. One of nicer places in Alpena. Server Ryan was excellent! Friendly, attentive and gave us some tips about sites to see. The food was pretty good. The complimentary Texas toast with garlic butter was a delight.

Our waitress Eve was very good. On top of things. However, as you can see in the picture, the portion of my perch dinner was ridiculous. I’ve had appetizes larger than this. There were 4 tiny perch filets, and the lemon slice was larger than the filet!!.My baked potato was cold and The butter was even colder. However, my wife had a chicken dish, and it was very good she said. The atmosphere was so dark inside, I had to use my phone flashlight to read the menu. If I had known they were going to send Eve out with 4 minnow filets, I would of ordered something else. The first thing Eve said was they were out of a few dishes on the menu. Apprently, they forgot to tell her they were out of perch too.

This place is amazing. Friendliest staff of any restaurant I’ve ever visited. The prime rib was absolutely amazing, and the horseradish added a nice little zest to it. I’m not normally a fan of horseradish, but had to try it, and I’m very glad that I did. When your garlic bread arrives, ask for Parmesan cheese on it. I could make a meal of that alone. If you can only go to one place to eat in Alpena, make it the Court Yard!

Wish I could say good stuff but was disappointed in all 3 food, service and atmosphere! Food wasn’t great for the price, no salad came with my steak meal and they tried to stuff really greasy cold bread down my throat! The young waiter was so stoned. I don’t think he could remember why he was even there. The atmosphere was dark yet interesting, but they put us in a pathway table where constant traffic goes by from the front door and kitchen. Very uncomfortable to eat with half the place watching you and every kitchen staff member offering bread during the long wait for disappointing food that got wasted.

Upscale Italian restaurant. We enjoyed visiting with our friends over a superb meal while seated in what they call “The Apartment”. Sorry no pix from me this time. I was enjoying our visit and meal too much and forgot to pull out my phone !

11th anniversary, John our waiter knocked it out of the park for us. Gave my wife her favorite desert, creme brulee just because it was our anniversary. Great food, great atmosphere, great waiter. We both loved our night!
