Great little mom and pop local eatery. Everyone in my party enjoyed what they ordered. I had the caprese chicken salad, and it was delicious.

Very vacation type atmosphere having a beach theme away from the beach! Love the food being named after area towns/local topics. I have had the South County sandwich and would have had it again but I needed to try the Shark attack! Both are filling and flavorful. Will have to try the frozen lemonade options next time!

My smoothie was delicious and decently priced! The staff member helping me was really nice and friendly, and they made my drink very quickly! Can’t wait to come back to try more menu items!

7/19/22 – This was our first time here. The first things we noticed were that there wasn’t an air conditioner or a public restroom. My friend had to walk down the block to find a public restroom. I asked why there wasn’t any air conditioner. I was told it was because businesses in that area leave their doors open and it would be a waste of a/c. However, Cowabunga’s door was closed. You can see in one of the photos the single fan. No unsweetened iced tea. They had a brand of diet cola I never heard of, so I ended up getting water.

The flavors in the “Rhode Islandah” are a fine example of the species: very light, fresh, and clear. But maybe don’t get one to eat on-the-go: the physical design of the sandwich doesn’t work very well for that. A grinder roll sliced part-way through vertically with the meat and cheese tucked in a wide “V” against the bread and large chunks of veggies in the center. Looked great, but many of the veggies fell out as I ate. You’re might find yourself surprised with mouthful of just red onion (a vegetable I much prefer sliced to chunked).

Awesome sandwiches and smoothies. Great staff. Small dining area inside or on the deck. A place to visit for something different.

Whenever we find ourselves in Wakefield, we come have lunch at Cowabunga. The wraps and sandwiches are elevated and delicious and the owner is lovely, busts her butt and does so with a smile. Come grab a Sammy, you won’t regret it!

I love this place so much. My sandwich was so good! I had The snug harbor and the ingredients were so fresh and the flavors came together perfectly. I had a mango smoothie as well. So good to eat healthy food. I can’t wait to come back.
