The Santa Fe Cowgirl Hall of Fame Restaurant opened in June of 1993 in a a hundred-year-old building in the historic Guadalupe district. Fast forward a couple of decades later and the Cowgirl BBQ occupies almost the entire block where it started, now with a billiard parlor, a commercial catering kitchen, and several private party rooms. The patio is one of the most inviting summertime venues for locals and tourists alike. The Cowgirl has become a local institution!
Down-home American comfort eats & live music draw crowds at this cowgirl-themed spot. Based on 3 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.3 stars. Price $$

Great food. Had the brisket with mac and cheese, but the desserts were awesome! Ice Cream that looks like a baked potato, and my son had the churro sundae. Both were excellent!

Great downtown location. Very busy, but we were able to get a table right a way. The atmosphere is festive and lots to choose from on the menu. I chose a brisket plate that was cooked perfectly, BBQ sauce was not too tangy, not too sweet- just the way I like it! Other orders were a salmon plate, and catfish over Jambalaya- everyone loved their meal! If your passing thru town this is a great place to stop.

This is a must visit while in Santa Fe. It’s such a cool vibe and they have a kids playground right in the middle of the restaurant! They had live music from 4-6 and a beautiful outdoor patio.

I was able to make it to happy hour and so glad I did. The food was great and I love seeing all the pictures and stories of amazing women. I didn’t have a drink but they have a long list including non alcoholic beverages.

Visited this place for dinner during a long weekend in Santa Fe. We wanted an easy going environment with good food and found Cowgirl!

Was very impressed with how incredibly dog friendly this place was! Great service, amazing BBQ, delicious cocktail and in a decently walkable location to museums and the Plaza. The live music was a little loud for a Sunday around noon but the band wad good so it wasn’t a big deal. Would definitely go back next time I’m in town and have already recommended to friends

Our server was friendly, but the food was subpar. We ended up leaving basically our entire meals uneaten (went to Chick-fil-A afterwards). We didn’t order “bbq” but the following items left a lot to be desired:

We were here for lunch. I had the pulled pork BBQ sandwich with fries. The sandwich was good but I had a much better one in another restaurant a few days before. The fries looked very tasteful but were a bit too soft instead of crispy.

Came here on a recommendation from a friend. Seated quickly (the hostess was miserable though – could have been the wicked loud band, Ron Crowder & Chilihouse). We ordered Bunkhouse Brisket (pic), Avocado toast, BBQ beef sandwich, double corn dog and grilled cheese. Everyone was very satisfied with their meal. Excellent service from Tanya. Thanks for Delaware.
