Food was good, service was friendly. We would have liked more vegetables on both burger & sandwiches but the onion rings, pulled pork and tri-tip were incredible!

Double Bacon Cheeseburger was massive and delicious, with a side of onion rings that were fresh! Also had the three-meat sandwich without the bun and it was a great low carb option. The meat was delicious! Not a lot of Smokey flavor but tender and the sauce was tasty. Coleslaw was also quite delicious and wasn’t too sweet. Staff were attentive and friendly and everything was clean. Looking forward to going back!

This restaurant has changed names to Dora’s Smokehouse and Bar B Que and is under new ownership. The new owner, Phil is friendly, and smokes the best meat in town, salads are homemade. They also have caring employees. So come on in, sit right down, and join them.

I ate here on Friday, the food was sad. We sat down to a crusty table, it’s a BBQ joint so we wiped it down with the napkins at the table. The waitress brought us our ice tea, the ice was already melting and we had no spoons to stir the sugar in. We had to go ask for silverware. When the food came, I had the Monterey BBQ Chicken sandwich. It had a paper thin slice of chicken, a slice of non melted cheddar cheese, one small slice of onion, one pickle, and maybe a tsp of BBQ sauce. When my husband asked to get more BBQ sauce they rolled their eyes. For being a newer restaurant I was expecting more.

After a long day in Reno, we decided to go down to The Cowpoke Smokehouse for dinner. We had their Prime Rib special, which was delicious. The staff was very friendly even though they were extremely busy. A great meal, friendly service, confy atmosphere.

New ownership is something to be cautious of. We went there 2 months after they opened and swore we wouldn’t go back. Husband ordered the brisket which turned out literally to be pot roast…makes sense without a smoker on premises, I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and was horrible and I didn’t eat it. Well we ended up there for breakfast during the car show weekend…thought it was hard to mess breakfast up but guess not. My brother joined us and hadn’t eaten there yet….biscuits were hard as a rock, gravy wasn’t gravy, bacon was burnt. I was with 3 grown men that eat like horses and 4 kids….nobody ate more than a couple bites. Again will not go back! Too bad too as the original place was awesome and we need good places to eat here. My family has been here for 30 years…Guess it works though since their hours don’t work with a mining community when most dads/moms aren’t home from 6:30a-7:30p…lol.

New owner, so any reviews before 6/23 are for the old place. Friendly, fast, delicious and not expensive.

We had the Friday prime rib special. It was nowhere near the 30+ dollars they charged. However the service, atmosphere, and the people were great.
