Great Chinese food and Sushi. The wonton soup is excellent and flavorful. The orange chicken is great. The beef broccoli has a sauce with too much ginger and basil in it. They tell me it’s the same sauce they use for their Mongolian beef. However it has a very different flavor profile from your typical Mongolian sauce. The soft noodles are just ok, since they’re very thin like angel hair and have a mild flavor profile. I think the crispy noodles would be much better. Cool ambience.

Came here for my quick lunch break. I didn’t know what to expect because their outside restaurant sign listed Hamburgers, Sushi, Seafood. Quite the find. Michael greeted me right away with a warm welcome. Had me take a seat. Gave me hot tea & a small bowl of Hot & Sour Soup on the house while I looked over the menu. The soup was very fulfilling in quantity & flavor! I was doubly pleased when my Eggplant with Hot Garlic Sauce arrived. The very distinct basil taste with a great mix of ginger, green & white onions added to the perfectly tasting Eggplant base. I had some over white rice. So yummy for my tummy! It was the right amount of spicy & the sauteed Japanese eggplant was not too firm, not too soft but just right. I’ll definitely be a regular here because there are so many other appealing dishes to still try. I’ll make sure to have Michael wait on me whenever possible. It’s genuine & friendly people like him who add to the appeal of any restaurant. Come on down if you happen to find yourself in Newport Beach.

Absolutely fabulous and amazing food. My friend who lives in NPB brought me here! I was thrown off by the sign that said hamburgers and I didn’t try the burgers but what I did have was excellent. Food was super tasty; spiced right; fresh and brought out hot!!!

My family and I have been coming here for years. Cindy the owner is very friendly. Also, the food is really good. During Covid-19 I’ve ordered takeout from them a lot and we’ll be ordering again this Saturday night for a Father’s Day dinner. The portions are very generous and the food is great.

You know how it is when it comes to craving good Chinese food; you just NEED it and CP (formerly China Palace) has been my go to for decades. Living in Arizona now, every time I get to Mariner’s Mile/Newport Beach it is on my list of go to places. Great Won Ton, awesome Hot and Sour Soup and my favorite, Serrano Chile Chicken make it worth the trip. I have tried so much of the menu and have never been disappointed. Also don’t forget they have some of the best Sushi in Orange County…jpm

My husband and I LOVED this place! Their poki bowl was sooo yummy and filling! My husband loves their orange chicken, perfect amount of rice and sauce, spicy but not over powering! Their food is delicious and the service is polite, quick, and friendly! There was soft music playing and the setting was pretty quiet and classy! Great atmosphere! Definitely will come again for many date and family nights! ❤️❤️

Having an event at CP was probably one of the smartest decisions I have ever made. Me and a group of 70+ of my friends had a formal event there and all I can say about CP is that it was amazing. The catering service was phenomenal, the bar service was just as great and the environment was spectacular. Everyone who attended the event said that they had a wonderful experience here. If you plan on every hosting an event here, you will not regret it. I high recommend CP.
