Went in with low expectations and I can honestly say I was impressed. The food tasted very delicious and was quite fresh for the most part. Things do tend to be a bit on the saltier side, but all in all i would recommend. The mussels where quite good and the crayfish and shrimp were delicious. I ordered my entree hot on the spice scale and was a little disappointed in that it wasn’t very spicy at all.

The food was OK but it wasn’t great. The lobster tail over-cooked and rubbery. They also had little meat on them. The waiter tried to justify it by saying, that’s how they all come, and they were all cooked fresh in the morning. If they were cooked fresh in the morning, that means they sat for quite a while. I lived on the ocean side for more than 10 years and I guess I’m spoiled.

Food was great. We got the shrimp basket and the shrimp are huge. Came pretty quickly as well. Staff was friendly. However, our waiter disappeared for quite a while. He was very nice, just not very attentive.

We never noticed this place tucked to the side of Texas Roadhouse. When we stopped at Texas Roadhouse last night at 7 there was a 2 hour wait. We left to find something else and noticed this restaurant. We love seafood and decided it was definitely worth a try.

Crab Du Jour is always a great place and Chris provides exceptional service. The kitchen messed up our order but he went above and beyond to make it right. The food was hot and tasted delicious! We love the quaint atmosphere and will be returning soon!

This was my first visit to CDJ and I would visit again. My favorite part of the meal was the fried shrimp – Delicious!! They were tender and perfectly seasoned, not tough, rubbery or dry. The fries were fresh and hot… I recommend the Crab fries.

I have never felt so disrespected in my entire life. Yesterday, I went to have dinner with my boyfriend. We arrived to the restaurant and we’re sat down beside people who were drinking heavily. Our waitress moved us and asked what we would like to have. We ordered hush puppies for an appetizer, a fried fish basket with fries and 1 cluster of crab legs with shrimp and old bay seasoning. Another waitress was sweeping the dirt from the other table towards ours while singing aloud. Our waitress brought the appetizer to the table and it was a basket of fried calamari. I explained to the waitress that we ordered hush puppies. She left the calamari on the table and went to the back of the restaurant. She came back with hush puppies and our food. I opened my bag and there was no sauce in my bag. I frequent this restaurant and have never had issues before. I asked to speak with the manager and he would not come to our table. My boyfriend spoke with him and let him know we were very upset with our service. We did not touch any of our food and the manager told my boyfriend that before we could leave we had to pay for the food that we did not eat. I felt completely threatened at this point. The manager made the waitress come over with the menu three times to tell me that my food was supposed to be “dry”. She brought “garlic butter” and it was completely clumped together. I was so upset that I began to cry. I went to the front and paid for the meal. I tried to explain how upset I was and the manager walked off. I will not be returning to this restaurant ever. This is very disappointing and if I could I would give zero stars. Chris S. really hurt my feelings yesterday. I am recommending that none of my friends or family return to the Lynchburg Crab du jour.
