Server at the front was borderline fun/aggressive we did decide to go in because she was so encouraging. The food wasn’t as good as some other food we tried and it was the most expensive. I had the calamari and fries, my husband got the fried fish which they put on a bun for him. The server moved us to a window seat by the ocean when available, amazing view!

Is it small, yes. Is that bad, no. I believe you call it quaint. We were seated by the windows in the back. Nice view, a good place to rest. I don’t know what these people want with a complimentary appetizer albeit not large it was tasty, crispy, and free. Prices are comparable to the area we were in. Bottom line don’t visit if you don’t understand that fact. Everyone was nice, the lady out front laughed and chatted us up per her job. I’d say stop by and try it out, the foods not bad the atmosphere is a window into the past. Don’t be afraid to be human. It’s been forever since I visited, it’s like a nostalgic ride into yesteryear for me. I hope everyone enjoys the time here, don’t sweat the small stuff live life and have a good time.

I don’t think I have ever given a 1 star review before but you really need to know what you are getting. The lady advertising free calamari with our meal may have meant well, but we literally got 5 little pieces for four people. Right after we ordered another waitress came over and moved us to another table and gave another party our table. Had we not already ordered we would have left. She was not nice about it at all…the people who got our table were embarrassed and apologized. Our waitress was very put out that we only ordered two entrees and two cups of soup. VERY over priced and low quality. When the check came the gratuity was already added way higher than deserved. Overall it was a terrible experience.

They offer free calamari for one table. the calamari is good and tender . we got the Clam chowder and we find its taste average. ordered the recommended Seafood pasta and it is ok. Server is really nice and helpful. our table has a view of the bay and near the boats. you can open the window and get to feed the hungry seagulls. For three people our total bill was around $70.

Love this place. We try to go to Monterey at least once a year and every time we go we stop by crab Louie’s and have the stuff sea bass. We’ve tried other restaurants but we keep gravitating back to them. Granted their restaurant is a little bit tight it’s on the smaller side but they are very attentive to their customers

Best meal on the wharf. The nicest lady invited our family with kids into her restaurant after the restaurant across the wharf shoos our kids away. Waiter was amazing and food was great. Had the seafood pasta and it was loaded with seafood. Bread bowl clam chowder was also great. Also gave us free calamari appetizer to try and it was amazing.
