This place is going downhill. I couldn’t ever eat it my dinner. We waited 30 minutes to be seated even though the restaurant wasn’t that full. The waitress took our orders that said “I’ll try to find you some bread”. She brought the bread 15 minutes later and the cornbread was stale and dry. It took another 30 minutes for the food to come out, but an additional 10 minutes for my husband to get his food plus ten more minutes for him to get some syrup that he had to request for his pancakes, which were burnt around the edges.

Cracker Barrel is one of those spots where you pretty much know what to you’re going to get. Despite giving old plantation feels, to my surprise, they have been updating and innovating in ways that you might not be aware of. For starters, they sell alcohol…..so go ahead and order that mimosa with brunch!! They also offer an Impossible sausage for all the plant-based eaters. You can now pay your bill tableside by scanning a QR code.

Ordered grill chicken meal for MIL. Idk what this is, but it ain’t the grilled chicken I ordered. Looks like burnt, thin, pancakes. Didn’t get my other side either. 2 hosts in the front clearly fresh out of HS, so no actual work ethic and took 45 min to get my food. They said they’re understaffed, but two hosts up front weren’t doing anything. Manager walks around not getting customers in and out, and just fiddling with the shelves. Not returning to this location. The only saving grace is the food runner who was kind and actually working.

I hate to leave this review but I have eaten here at this location a few times and it’s always been a huge disappointment. This last time was the worst. The entire dining area was a mess, which I have noticed is a common theme here. I don’t know where the manager is but the floors were so sticky and full of food crumbs that it even stuck to my shoes after I left. I ordered a simple breakfast meal and everything was bad. The scrambled eggs were runny. My pancakes were burnt on the bottom side. And the bacon was cold. As if it had been sitting out for hours. The waitress I had was nice and I left a tip out of the kindness of my heart but I will never eat at this location again.

It is unfortunate to write this, because CB has been a staple go to. Of recent, multiple locations in the Cabarrus area have gone down hill! From the lacklustre and nonchalant service to portion size, cost, and cleanliness. CB has really lost their edge. This is the fourth straight trip to multiple locations where the experience has been long and uncomfortable.

Very busy and packed; time was 1130 am. About a 25 min wait. Food was great. Country Boy Breakfast and Egg Sandwich meals. Biscuits and corn bread were great. Always love looking around the shop, too.

I usually do not write reviews for restaurants, but my experience this morning at this Cracker Barrel was less than great. It took about 20 minutes after my family and I were seated to have the waiter take our order, then after 45 minutes of not getting our food I asked to speak to the manager to see if she could help. She was dismissive and rude towards me. I have never met a manager so unkind towards customers in my life. We will not be back.
