Brooke is a delightful waitress. The sweet tea was just right- not too sweet & not too unsweet. Their biscuits & cornbread muffins are one of the reasons we love Cracker Barrel. Our plates came out in a timely manner and hot. I had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and mac & cheese. My bf orded the meatloaf & fried chicken breast with chicken n dumplins along with fried apples and sweet potato. We enjoyed our dinner date very much.

I’ve always loved going to Cracker Barrel, but the last few times I went the food was mediocre. The quality has seem to go down a bit, mostly in the gravy department. The waitress we had didn’t get our order correct, but the store is always cute. The hostess sweet and sat us down fast too.

Please avoid this place. The city water is not filtered and it causes a foul taste to the food and drinks. I ordered breakfast items and my eggs were well over cooked and rubbery. Cooking 101, if you can’t cook an egg you can’t cook. I will avoid this location whenever passing through.

It was very busy; however, we were seated right away. It was 15 minutes before our waitress came to ask us about our drink order. We let her know we were ready to give our food order as well. She grumbled about it but took our order. We sat for 30 more minutes waiting and finally asked for their biscuit and corn bread basket. The waitress grumbled again and said it wasn’t complimentary anymore, but she’d go get us one. Meanwhile, people all around us were getting the b and cb basket within 5 minutes of being seated. When she brought the basket, she had only put biscuits in it, stating there wasn’t any cornbread. When we finally got our food, it was cold.

They changed a lot of things on the menu recently, but the food is still fresh and fast. Everything was perfect on this visit and I suggest trying the hash brown casserole tots.

Ordered chicken tenders with Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, and fried okra. Tenders seemed a little over cooked, mac n cheese and potatoes showed they had been sitting in a warmer, and okra was fresh but not hot. It was about 7 at night on a week night and they were busy…no white gravy available, ran out of corn muffins, and you can tell the tea is instant or cheap. Steak fries appetizer was good and hot, biscuits were soft and fresh tasting.

I’m so sad about our experience at this Cracker Barrel. We usually love Cracker Barrel and my kids had actually been waiting for a couple of weeks to come here. First of all, we got sat at a tiny table even though we asked for a larger one. Our server was very inexperienced. She was sweet as can be, but didn’t know anything about the menu, pre bussing, or bringing out salads before the meal. Then, it took forever for our food to arrive because they only had one cook (according to the server)..
