Viewing this restaurant’s website, I decided it would be a good stop over on my drive to visit some old friends. Wish I had kept going, the drinks where watered down, I ordered what I assume was chicken fried steak and it tasted terrible and the white paste just hide the over-cooked steak that I had to tear apart. I did enjoy the history of the place and how they tied it into the restaurant, but anyone that travels extensively and doesn’t live here in Crandall would probably have the same experience. I had expect some very good country cooking, but was ultimately let down, too bad, could have been really good.

Food and service were really just okay. Nothing special at all and it is expensive. Order the fried chocolate pie and it was ice cold in the middle which means it must have been frozen.
