Food was excellent good job to the chef. The brownie desert was the best I’ve ever had. Everything here is cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Staff made rounds often and were relatively attentive. Sweet tea was great here as well. Everything seemed fresh and authentic.

We had the escargot, Cress Salad, Prime Rib Eye and the braised lamb. All were perfect. It took a little longer than I would’ve liked but the place was packed and meals like this are worth waiting for. Wait staff is very attentive. Excellent wine list. Bravo.

Was pleasantly surprised to experience this gem in DeLand of all places! We happened to make reservations during the Bite30 event, which included 3 course meal option in addition to a regular menu items. We started with escargot – the best one I’ve ever eaten, better than the ones in Paris or French Canada… Next came “Catch of the day” with delicious “whipped pistachio” sauce – I’ll take a tub of that one to go, please! Creme Brulee was excellent, too! The noise that comes from the kitchen every time guests treat Chef and staff with a round of drinks ( apparently noted on desert menu, that I didn’t notice) scared begeezess out of me initially but became a fun experience as it continued 3 or 4 more times throughout the night…Thank you for the experience in the Art and Science of cooking!

We had the best time celebrating my dad’s birthday! The Cabernet was really good. This is my second time eating at Cress and this was a way better experience. I’m so glad they hired new wait staff! The last time we went the food was good (except for the amuse bouche) but the waitress was horrible and smelled like cigarettes. Our waiter this time was fabulous, we loved him!

If you are in Deland, make sure to have a dinning experience in this restaurant. Delicious and beautiful dishes. I ordered the duck dish and the sauce was so yummy that I almost lick the plate :-). My friends ordered the vegan dish and the salad with goat chess and strawberries. They all loved their dishes. Don’t forget your dessert too. Thomas was the assistant of the waitress and he is very professional and pleasant. A must go restaurant in Deland for sure.

MUST GO!! Fabulous . The waitstaff were warm, friendly, and informative. The food was phenomenal. The best I’ve ever had. We enjoyed an outdoor table. The atmosphere was perfect. My only complaint is the portions were meager for the price, but again, the food was amazing! Travis, our waiter was very attentive, and helped us understand the menu, most of which was completely foreign to us. Everything we ordered was new to us, and it was absolutely mind-blowing. Wow…just wow!!

Amazing customer service! They accommodated our late reservation with such enthusiasm. What an amazing staff!!! They worked together to make our experience enjoyable. The food was amazing… fresh, tasty, and esthetically appealing. All around 10/10… we put it in our favorites to go back. It’s a cozy warm environment with inside and outside seating.

The Feast of the Five Fishes on Christmas Eve was a superb 4-course dinner with exceptional wine pairings accompanying each course. See photos for visuals of the meal and the menus of both the meal and another that describes the paired wines. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our dining experience. Pricing for special, themed meals is considerably higher than the price range noted above. $$-$$$
