Go here. The atmosphere, the food, and the prices are on point. I was lucky to sit at the small outdoor space on a perfect day. I had the crab Rangoons. Y’all they were so good and not anything like you normally get. I also had the Bangkok Hot Sandwich. The best I’ve ever had. The bun, the pickles, the spice, and the light flavorful breading. Don’t miss this gem.

They were doing a collaboration with a Filipino restaurant.. we didn’t have a reservation in lockdown and had two seats at the bar for lunch on a Monday. Tropical cocktails were great. From the crispy gai menu we had the hot yai chicken wings and the nam Jim jaew… Amazing! Then from the visiting menu we had a broccoli rabe side dish prepared with coconut milk and some lumpia… Both were delicious but we were definitely disappointed with the portion size of the broccoli rubbed.. Was $11 for like 3 oz of cooked vegetable. Overall had a great experience and would definitely go back!

I really really love this place. I really love fried chicken, and this place did an amazing job in cooking them. The sauces are also authentic and flavorful. The chef is undoubtedly an experienced one. The drinks are also really good. 10/10 would go back again.

This place is so top notch. I came with two friends for a weekend brunch. We ordered the sticky rice, hat yai wings with nam jim gai sauce & nam jim jaew sauce, the nam pork hash, the breakfast bing, the lo bak go tots, & the sai oua breakfast sammy. All were very delicious. I especially enjoyed the chicken wings. You could taste the brine and the crispy crunch on the breading was delightful. The sandwiches were incredibly flavorful. I didn’t try the hash, but my friend loved it. The service was also top notch. Our server was very kind and knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Can’t wait to come back to Portland and try their lunch/dinner menu!

Legit and addictive! The papaya salad was deeply flavorful, and the fried chicken remained crispy despite being in takeout container. Pad See Ew was a bit too greasy but still delicious. Fried rice was fluffy with lots of sausage slices.

Crispy Gai was by far the best dining experience we have had in Portland. Although we were late for our reservation, we were kindly greeted by the host (and owner), and promptly seated. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable of the menu, which made ordering a breeze. Their cocktails are as good as it gets. The food came out quickly and was seriously delicious. The best fried chicken I have ever had!

I’ve eaten at Crispy Gai before, but only tried the fried chicken. I had friends visit from out of town and thought let’s order a table spread. BEST. IDEA. EVER. Everything was delicious and I feel that our dinner was meant to be enjoyed this way. Superb waitstaff. I can’t wait to go back with a larger group to try more dishes.

I had a great time and a wonderful meal. Service is friendly and very knowledgeable. The dishes come from the kitchen as soon as they are ready,so it is great for sharing (which is the point). And the kitchen is fast, so I suggest ordering a couple of dishes at a time. Also, the drinklist is inventive and spot on.
