Breakfast options were quite limited. Saw no fish fruit or veggies. Seems usual at Dining Facilities are very slow, cooks are good, but they work only one order at a time. Dining room looks like ith hasn’t changed since 1950 which could be cool, but not in thus case.

There is a hot side and a cold side. The hot side has burgers. The cold side has a salad bar, corn, yams, spicy rice, brisket, white fish, collards, and grilled chicken. The fish is cooked perfectly so it falls apart at a touch, but is not seasoned. The chicken is overly charred, but the meat is tender. The brisket is a little tough, but seasoned perfectly. Prices are good. Each meat was $1.25. They also had red velvet cake, banana cake, and german chocolate cake.

Food was actually quite good and quite a bargain. I tried to be healthy and hit the salad bar with my meal, but you should know this was the most expensive part of my meal…my $9.50 lunch would have been $5.55 without my small salad. A good price with it, a steal without it.

I enjoying dining at the Mess Hall on Holidays with a friend who is retired military. The selection and food was quite delicious. However the collards would have been more appealing to me if they had not been prepared with so much spice. Never had any done like that before.
