They get a bad rap because of the location but recently a friend picked me up lunch from there. This review is based on one visit. The chicken was flavorful and juicy. The fries were so so. Soda came with the meal which is a plus. Hopefully my next visit will be as good.

It may not be located in the best part of town, corner of State and Broad, this is by far the best fried chicken. I was able to convince my co-workers this and we had a party. The consensus was the chicken had a great flavor, crispy, moist and very economical. The side of macaroni and cheese is very creamy. I have eaten here several times and never had a bad experience .

I have come back to this place many times. The food is delicious and flavorful no matter what I order and the prices are more than affordable. This is a popular spot since it is next to a high traffic bus stop. Only downside is that there isn’t any seating available. Great place to grab your food and go. I recommend the 2 pc honey BBQ chicken meal with fries and a soda for just $5.50.

I currently attend mccc down the street and on my break i walk there to get something everyday!! I get the gyro chicken and beef mix with rice and it comes with a salad on the side!!! He is very nice and the cook does a great job with the food.. Now five of my classmates come with mi.Definately worth the trip. And its affordable!

For the type of urban food place this is, Crown Chicken is excellent. Beside fried chicken, which they move a lot of, they do fish sandwiches and falafel wraps and a broad array of sides and desserts. Most of it is assembled from prepackaged components, but they’ve chosen their suppliers well. The wraps and sandwiches are the size of monster burritos and have to be eaten the same way, peeling down the foil and paper as you go. It’s not fancy, but the food is good and the portions are massive.

Do not go here if you plan on using a card, I went here and they charged me a whole month later which put me -12 under. Then because of that negative fee I was charged by my bank an extra 35, this establishment is unvery poor with how they process cards, they tried to blame my bank but it’s on how they manage their stores money.

Disgusting, days old looking chicken. I should’ve asked to see the food before they sealed it. Hard, dry, and very salty. The rolls were stale, and the mashed potatoes tasted like plain mashed potatoes. No butter, milk, salt. Restaurant full of drug addicts just standing around. I should have listened to my instincts and went somewhere else.
