The clerk here isn’t really friendly at all. Not rude or anything, just really dry personality- like dude, smile every once in a while, or at least pretend like you like your job??? I was excited when this store first opened because I live 2 blocks away so they got a lot of my business at first, but yeah, nevermind. I’ll just go to Bob’s grocery from now on. Oh yeah, don’t bother asking for change for the water machine outside even if you are purchasing something from inside the store.

I’ve been looking for a taco truck like this since moving down to the island. The food is authentic and the place always has customers. During meal times on the weekend, the truck can be busy but since I know what I want, I call in ahead. I introduced my friend to this truck and she loves their burrito. And has since taken her family there. They have the best tripe tacos that are flavorful and crispy.

Visiting from out of town, we wanted to have a quick lunch on the Strand. But the Dickens Christmas Festival would have cost our group $60 just to access the restaurant. We were not there for the bagpipes, costumes, business booths. Did a quick Google search and we walked back to find this place. Initial reaction to eating at a gas station was hesitation but it was really good service and food.

I’ve been looking for a good taco truck in Galveston and I have found it! Everything is deliscious and they are open late! I was craving some tacos at 2:30 am and they were open. Will be coming back and I highly recommend. Only thing is I wished there was another truck closer to 61st because it was a bit of a drive–but worth it I promise. PS. The verde sauce is also very spicy which is a huge plus.

I have to say it’s the place is great for a street truck, it truly reminds me street truck in Austin which has a lot of great street truck around the big city to choose from after a night out partying on 6th street…God I miss those trucks, I’m greatful to find Taqueria Don Juve plus they are open late when it’s hard to find good food at night…
