This is a beautiful little bakery! Family-owned and full of historical photos which were charming. They have flaky, delicious pastries, and Sarah gave me a sample of the coffee — so rich and smooth! I’ve already recommended it to my friends

I tried this Cuban, café and Bakery and it was great.. I had some pastries to go and the Cuban sandwich with a “cafe con leche” this sandwich is the best and the pastries were delicious. The place is small, and when we got there, it was a little busy, but it was worth it. The ladies at the countertop were nice and friendly.

I recently moved to the Carrollton area and I saw this Cuban bakery nearby. I was expecting somewhat of Porto’s bakery quality. Maybe my expectation was too high. It was disappointing and kind of pricey. I got the guava pastry, guava & cheese pastry, potato ball and cafe con leche. I’m picky with my coffee since I am a Seattle native. Their coffee is not worth almost $5.. I think one potato ball was $5 as well. They didn’t give me a receipt so I have no idea how much everything was. On a brighter side, the ladies were friendly!

I catered ‘Cuban Dulceria international bakery’ for my wedding. It was a beautiful addition to my dessert table. I remember my family bringing me to this bakery as a child. My first taste of their ‘Guava con Queso’ pastry then, has been my lifetime favorite!! My husband and I make the drive from Mansfield to Carrollton frequently, because they are worth it!!!!

The pastries were amazing and the service was cordial. I hope their process improves as I did have to wait quite a bit for two coffees, but with staffing issues everywhere, that is understandable.

Great find! My friend Daniel told me about this little gem. Since, wife loves Cuban sandwiches, I brought her here…OMG! It’s owned and operated by Cuban sisters. For those in the know, no need to read any further. We’re done. For those who don’t know, please continue. First off, the atmosphere screams island relaxation. You walk into a glass row full of pastries and small bites prepared that morning. That could be enough for some. The sandwich (aka the reason we came). It was everything a cuban should be. The bread had a crisp buttery exterior to contrast the soft pillowy inside. It was neither too thick nor too thin. By the way, they prepare all the sandwiches to order, so there may be a wait if they’re busy, but it’s worth hot food. The ham and mortadella were cut so thin that you could see through them. The pork was soft and juicy, not dry. They also didn’t kill the sandwich with too much mustard or pickles, nor did they starve it either with a lack of them. Normally, I detest Swiss cheese, but it marries perfectly with this combination. That first bite…well you’re going to just have to experience that for yourself. All the pastries were tasty as well, but hey, this post is about the sandwich. Enjoy!

If you want a genuine, authentic, delicious, made freshly daily Cuban experience look no further! Every time I’m in Dallas my very first stop is “The Cuban Bakery”. It’s locally owned and run by two of the nicest sisters you could ever meet. Make sure you have a Cuban coffee for a real delicious treat. I can’t say enough about this local restaurant. As a matter of fact I’m heading there today 🙂

Authentic place to get Cubano sandwiches and Cuban coffees. you can dine in or pick up. This place has a pretty eclectic ambiance. The owner explained how she prepares the meats for the sandwiches the evening before.

I’ve always loved and adored this bakery for nearly three years. All pastries I’ve had are amazing and the coffee, La Gaviña, is the best I ever had. But as a resident from Mesquite it takes me about 45 minutes to get to this wonderful bakery, which has been incredibly worth the trip when leaving with boxes of pastries and a cafe cubano in hand, and I’ve always tip as best I could. However there have been times I’ve come all this way, speeding down the George Bush turnpike, making it out here only to find them closed. The first time was on a weekday I got there well before 5 but only to find them closed. I then learned they changed their closing time to 4pm on Tues – Thursdays, but Fridays and Saturdays are still 5pm. Yet here on Google maps, and their website, still says 9am-5pm Tues-Saturdays. A second time on a Saturday I was running late and made it there about five minutes till closing but they were already closed. Then the last time was on a Saturday in March, when gas prices began to spike again. I made plenty of time to leave early, I got there shortly before 4pm once again finding them closed! I then felt like I’ve been punched in the stomach standing there before the locked door, not being able to buy anything – only burning gas and getting hit by tollway charges. I then pulled up Google maps to check the hours and the Updates tab/By Owner tab to see if they posted anything as to why they closed early but was blank, and no updates on their website as well. Since then, I haven’t tried again fearing that it’s just going to happen again, never know what they are going to do. Just really sad, I really loved them and everything about this bakery! There will never be another place like them.

Got the cafe con lèche and the pastry twist. I’ve heard great things about cuban coffee, and this was my first time trying it. I LOVED it, it was an amazing coffee and the pastry twist went wonderfully with it.
