We found Cudjo Seafood while planning our road trip vacation. We had never visited Bayou La Batre, Alabama so we added that to our trip. You cannot visit the seafood capital of Alabama and not eat shrimp, that is how we found Cudjo. The shrimp here were amazing! We got 3 pounds of shrimp with potatoes and corn, and yes we ate everything!!

It was the the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. How are you out of almost everything? It is not worth the cost! The fried shrimp was over cooked and had no flavor. The hush puppies were almost burnt and the house salad was the worst salad I’ve ever had I’ve had truck stop salads that taste better. The lettuce had a funky taste. I 10/10 do not recommend

Absolutely the best low country boil I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Spiced perfectly. For the portion size, can’t be beat. The attached picture was $84 out the door and it feed 3 if us with leftover to take home. If you’re looking for a gem in the rough, this is it. Do not pass up on the steam plates.

I’m from Michigan and my boyfriend and I took a road trip for my birthday. I told him since we were in the South I wanted seafood for my birthday dinner. Cudjos was one of two or three places that was on our path to our next destination. We read the reviews and picked them right away. The food was THE MOST DELICIOUS seafood I have ever had in my entire life!!! We cannot wait to come back here!! Do not hesitate to eat at this place!! Totally worth every bite!

I had the best fried catfish I’ve ever had, excellent fried okra, and shrimp. All of the fried food was light and crispy, and the catfish was absolutely sweet. Keetl, the proprietor, was very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Don’t miss it on this great locals spot!

I got one of the $8 specials. 1/2 lb of steamed shrimp, sausage link corn and potatoes. They were out of corn so substituted hush puppies. Shrimp tasted great just tough to get shell off. Sausage link was delicious
