My New Year’s eve 2020 started great! I was visiting my bf’s family. They were very happy to see me and wanted to treat me to some great local food.

We came to Detroit to see SIX the musical at the Fisher Theatre and stayed at the St. Regus Hotel. Cuisine was within walking distance of both. We really enjoyed everything on the limited choice menu. The soft shelled crab was fabulous

Edit: We came here for the first time in a while. Everything was still delicious, but it was disappointing that their menu was very limited, they didn’t have a la carte and only had a 3-course tasting menu. The portions were not enough so we were not full after finishing our meal. The seats by the windows were too dark.

We visited Cuisine before our event at the Fisher Theatre. Our show began at 7 and our reservation was for 5:30. We were promptly seated upon our arrival at 5:20. Our server, Corbin, was excellent. He was very attentive without being overly present. He made wonderful recommendations and refilled our water and drinks with prompt, well-timed visits. The seared scallops were divine. The 10oz Wagyu was crusted perfectly while maintaining a med.rare/medium juicy interior. This steak, frankly, was seasoned and prepared to perfection. The lime gimlet was balanced, and the citrus flavor paired beautifully with the scallops. The old-fashioned was incredibly smooth, and the flavor was a pallette pleasing pairing to the Wagyu. Finally, the desert was a scrumptious mix of raspberry sorbet, chocolate mousse, and a large meringue cookie. Corbin made it his priority to ensure that the meal was presented at a relaxing pace, whilst still very cognizant of the timeline to the start of our show. From the ambiance to the chef to the waitstaff, this is a perfect romantic go-to in Detroit.

We ate at Cuisine during a Broadway fixed price menu (on a Saturday, despite the (website stating fixed price menus happen on Sundays only.) Three options for a starter and meal, two options for dessert, and all options sounded fantastic. One option was vegetarian.

Fabulous dinner, best we have had in recent memory! Tuna Mango Tartare on risotto cakes, Paupiette of Shrimp stuffed Fluke on goat cheese grits, beef short rib, and spaghetti squash baked with butter and oranges. Chef Paul prepared everything perfectly, and Steve our server was awesome.

Excellent service, fabulous meal and a Flat theater menu at a great price for three courses. These guys have it going on and know how to help you have a relaxed evening and get to the show in plenty of time. Highly recommended if you are going out to the Fisher Theater… or doing something in the New Center / North End of Detroit.
