Went to the bar and ordered food. My wife who is Italian ordered a pasta that she makes and that I love. She said that the restaurant’s was better. Quite the praise. I just had a martini and it was excellent. The other dinners were very friendly and engaging. How often does that happen?

How could you miss the opportunity to enjoy classic Lyonnaise cooking by someone who worked under the direction of Chef Paul Bocuse in Lyon? In short, you don’t.

My partner bought gift certificates for here but passed away before we could use them. After finding the certificates a while later, I took a very good friend to celebrate his birthday. This was our first time here and what a treat it was.

We picked this restaurant based on reviews and I love French food. it is a beautiful setting. I had hoped to sit outside but we were told it had just been closed as they were closing for the summer shortly. Initially I was disappointed, but when he seated us in the dining room, I was no longer disappointed. It was beautiful, very old world, charming and very comfortable. Our waiter, Dan, was at our table quickly and took our drink order. Delicious cocktails and creative. I asked our waiter why they didn’t have escargot on the menu since I always think a French restaurant should offer them. He quickly assumed me they do indeed have them by request. OMG, so glad I inquired because they were the best escargot I have ever had. My husband had a wonderful spinach salad. We ordered Duck and Rack of lamb. My husband is from New Zealand and always orders rack of lamb. He said it was the best prepared lamb he has had. My duck melted in your mouth. The food here is just exquisite! Dan brought out the floating island desert for my birthday and it was delicious! We brought our own wine and our waiter apologized for charging us a corkage fee, we told him we fully expect to pay a corkage fee and didn’t mind a bit. Warning, it is a $40 fee so a bit high but the whole experience was wonderful! This is our new favorite restaurant in the valley and I have already made reservations for when they reopen! I did notice a few negative reviews, but I would pay them no attention as the restaurant is a gem with fabulous food!!

Ambiance fit with the French theme. We both enjoyed our dinner. The quenelles were spectacular. Short rib ravioli was excellent. Spectacular choice of wines.

Julian is the best!! He is the nicest bartender on the area. We save Cuistot for the end of our month stay here, because it gives us a special restaurant to end our stay. The food and service is above the rest. We highly recommend experiencing this special place for ambience, food and special service.

I left a review of this restaurant on OpenTable after having an unsatisfactory experience. It was very overpriced for food that was marginal in flavor and substance, did not offer dishes or beverages that you would find at most high-end French restaurants, and the ambiance left quite a bit to be desired. Bottom line, it has been my least favorite restaurant in the Coachella Valley and I expressed such in my review. In response, the restaurant sent a personal message attacking me as a person with a malicious tone that was shocking. I can’t emphasize enough that other diners stay away. It is not worth your time or money, especially when they bully customers who don’t leave favorable reviews for their restaurant.

Went to Saturday brunch at this beautifully appointed and furnished restaurant. It was a rather wintery day so the fireplace seemed especially welcoming. On the menu were mushroom soup and creamy spinach soup, both delicious. This was followed by fresh berry compote and croissants. The entrees were a Gruyere and cheddar cheese souffle, very classic, as well as eggs and steak with Bordelaise sauce. This seemed more American and very generous portion size. Next time we will be sure to save more room for dessert!
