I have not had a complete dining experience this good in years! Where to start?! The first impression when you walk in is fascinating. The décor from top to bottom is well-thought-out and beautiful. Even the hallway to the bathroom is unexpectedly unique.

If your visiting Asheville NC I highly recommend stopping by Cultura for dinner. Granted you have to make reservations well in advance to make sure you get a table.

Of all the places we tried in Asheville, this was the winner hands down. We had made reservations for a Friday night as I wanted tot try the tasting menu, and was not let down. This is unpretentious fine dining. Our server was incredibly friendly and chill. They don’t take themselves too serious here as can be the experience with finer dining. The larder and bread service was great! I started off with the pork and chanterelle pie which was like nothing I’ve ever had and was very tasty. My wife got the peach and thyme focaccia and really enjoyed it. I got the dry aged squab which was cooked perfectly this was the only dish I thought could have been improved slightly upon in the sauce/seasoning department. Wife got the fusilli and enjoyed that throughly as well. For the fifth I got the smoked lamb shank tostada which was delicious. My wife got the skate and said the fish was a little bland but she still enjoyed the dish. For the dessert, I got a corn crème brûlée which honestly was a really smart interpretation of the dessert, corn being naturally sweet worked incredibly well. I are the entire thing, and I’m not usually a dessert person. All in all this evening was well worth the price we paid and I would absolutely come back if if I found myself back in Asheville. I highly recommend coming here whether you are a local or in town visiting. Worth going out of your way if you are staying in the greater area.

We’ve been wanting to dine at Cultura for some time. Our first visit did not disappoint. We went for J Chong’s Cease & Desist dinner. Cultura offers these fun dinner series that take place on Sundays. They’re a play off of national chains.

10/10 will definitely come back when we are visiting Asheville again. We foraged our ingredients with their partnership with No Taste Like Home and that experience was awesome.

We had a great experience at a reasonable price. ($150 for 2 including 2 cocktails and dessert) . We didn’t eat a heavy meal, but we had halibut poached in butter, prawns with corn and beans (a rich lovely preparation, not your typical fare), 2 of the lions mane mushroom small plates…. And an amazing dessert of corn meal “cake” (a little dry), with fresh strawberries and lime ice cream (wow)….

OMG! We had some of the very best food of the year in this lovely little restaurant! Exquisite, creative perfection. The roasted pork black congee was out of this world as was the halibut and the lions mane mushrooms. Service was very helpful and friendly and the space is welcoming, creative and fun. Cocktails were also creative and fun. This place is as good or even better that the more renowned Curate, I hope we can still get a table this easily next year!

I came here for dinner on a bachelorette trip hoping for a great meal. We heard a lot of great reviews around town & we were looking forward to it. The restaurant itself it’s stunning with decor, ambiance & music. This evening, the menu was placed in front of us & we could barley understand any of the menu items as it was written almost in an outline format. Next, we asked for recommendations on what to eat & ordered based off of her recommendations – when the meal came, not only was the portion smaller than any appetizer I’ve ordered before, but it tasted so bland, I can guarantee it was the worst food I’ve eaten, sadly. Not only was this the waitresses personal recommendation, but it was the priciest item on the menu. The bread brought to the table was nice, thankfully. I wasn’t alone in my experience, the rest of my 7 person party had their own individual horrible experiences which included: vomiting after dinner & taking medications to soothe stomachs. I have chosen one star simply to give credit to the beautiful decor & great music.
