Tiny “to-go” only restaurant offering made to order Mofongo. There’s usually a line but the wait isn’t too long. We ordered Chicken Mofongo, pork Mofongo, and Pernil Con Mofongo and Rice and Beans. The pork was fried and nicely seasoned. Mofongo came with a simple salad and sautéed red peppers and onions. The three dishes totaled $36 and were plentiful and delicious!

I did a walk up order for tostones and two empanadas. For $10 it was a super filling amount of food. Friendly service and delicious, would love to make a return trip

Their food is excellent. They are friendly Iris is very sweet and a very good cook. The only reason I take off one star is I feel their prices are too high for the small amount one gets and they have enough customers to warrant more food. I get that exotic foods, and fresh can be expensive, however rice?! Why such a small amount. A local Hispanic market that has Latin takeout LOADS you with white rice as they sell by lb. Iris does not do that, she is fair. I might be missing a reason; rent being high, their only being open a few days a week.. I don’t know, but I will tell you, the quality and offerings are worth going. We just cannot afford to go, though I highly recommend the place to those who can.

I thought all the reviews were probably from friends and family, but decided to try it anyway. The food is authentic Puerto Rican and is exceptionally delicious. Being from New York I am biased, but hands down this place is better than the places I’ve been to in New York. A must if you are in CT and want some home cooked Latin food.

Nothing short of Amazing! Mofongo is well worth waiting for as it is made to order. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. Can’t wait to come back.

5 stars is definitely not enough. The woman who prepares the orders is so friendly, polite and professional. I go there almost every day to pick up lunch. You can smell there food all the way down broad street. I’m never dissatisfied. Thank you for great food and service.

Excellent, and fresh Latino dishes daily! Favorites are the mofongo, pernil, and arroz con habichuelas! The flavor is amazing. Don’t forget to check their Facebook page for their daily menu. Get there early because all food is prepped and made daily. Once they run out, you miss out. The line and wait is long, but it’s well worth it. While we waited once, we met the owner’s father. He’s an awesome Dad who is proud of his son and family who have a history and passion for cooking food you love! Buen provecho!
